But regardless, do you utilize macros to assist you in your rotation?
When GNB was released in FF XIV, I immediately became a tank main there. Tank anxiety is a real thing, for sure. What helped me get over it (mostly) was tossing myself into the deep end and teaching myself how to “swim”. Repeatedly.

Get to learn the layout of the dungeons and where to go and go at your own speed

Just gotta keep screwing up until you start pulling it off tbh.
Pulled three packs and died? Say: “I’m dumb, my bad” and only pull two next time.
Faced the cleave at the group and killed everyone? “ah fiddlesticks, that’s on me” and face it away.
Eventually you’ll have made every possible mistake and then all that’s left is doing it right.

run only with friends/guildies, i cant hack pugs very often because of tanxiety

This. Owning up to.your mistakes and being vocal about it is the best thing you can do.
Never had anyone rage at me when i willingly stood up and admitted the oops was 100% my fault (within reason. If youre apologizing for something every pull. Thats a different story lol)

Yeah. I remember when I was first starting out with tanking (again, in FF XIV). I ended up turning a boss toward the rest of the raid and murdered everyone. I apologized but most of them apparently found it funny, which softened the blow. Mistakes are going to happen. It’s inevitable.

Just like you get over any anxiety doing anything.
You accept that you feel anxious and keep doing it anyways and eventually you don’t feel anxious anymore.
