Getting ganked non stop in the world now

I’m on a pvp server and enjoy it, but the honor system should have always given DHKs for killing grey players. ALSO, DHKs should have eventually gave you an “outlaw” reputation that made you red to both factions save a few NPC towns. Some people would choose that route so ganking lowbies would still exist, but mean something.

#nochanges, but thought that in vanilla and still do.

Or go somewhere else, even.

I love wpvp in retail over the years, I was in the most active pvp guild on server etc, but most of us started later like 05-06 and on med pop servers it was not like this, most players by then could care less about wpvp because of raids and Bgs, arenas then RBGs. we had many ways to scratch the itch.

Right now the game is young and 60s don’t really have tons to do right now for pvp, and now with incentive its been a blood bath. I can not blame players for engaging which also gives points. yeah it sucks for lowers like myself, but its the path i picked even though I did not expect so many doing it… I actually thought DK counted for killing lowers when i found out this is not true… I was like ohh boy this will be rough.

Yep. When I posted comments saying players don’t want to play on faction balanced servers, others said I didn’t know what I was talking about. lol

What is 20% of zero? Isn’t that what DKs are worth atm?

No idea what ya mean

Sure people signed up to pvp, but it’s been impossible for me to level my warrior through the 50’s. Every flightmaster, every questgiver, there’s Horde literally everywhere waiting to gank me

I don’t blame them whatwith the honor system and no BG’s, but I gotta wait in the two hour queue to play, and I hardly make any progress on leveling. We need faction specific queues to encourage more Horde to transfer so the faction balance becomes more even again

That’s the current penalty for DKs in week 1.

Agreed, faction specific queues, even to maintain a 60/40, would directly enhance gameplay and is the only reason why the majority faction would consider a transfer.

The minority faction on Stalagg wasn’t really that much of a minority until 6 of the biggest Alliance guilds all decided to bounce at the same time, opening the flood gates and exacerbating what was initially a mild disadvantage, into a crippling one.

That said, 3-4 large Horde guilds have recently moved to Heartseeker on the heels of P2, including one of the absolute largest P.Server monstrosities, so Heartseeker should be getting an infusion of at least a couple hundred geared out Horde players who are moving to Heartseeker not to flee imbalance, but actively because they want more targets to kill. And that’s from Stalagg alone.

Heartseeker should be getting a lot more interesting in the next few weeks.

Which is only for killing NPCs

Correct.

When I was on stalagg, they didn’t need the pvp system to kill, they just did it all the time .lol

Yep, that’s exactly it. The first population reports painted Skelagg as the most Horde skewed, so people flipped out and left in droves when the option became available. I remember people saying in city chat that we should all leave for Heartseeker, but I didn’t want to leave, and I definitely didn’t want to go to someplace with no Horde that effectively made it PvE. I’m starting to regret staying now though, as are those I regularly play with. As pissed as I get at Horde players camping every FP, instance, and harbor, and at the Alliance who left, it’s on Blizzard for propagating the issue in the first place and then pushing P2 out the door.

Haha. Almost got me ; )

Yeah yeah, sure. We all know you rolled as an undead rogue to gank, not to be ganked. But I agree with you on principle. PvP happens on PvP servers, who knew.

If it makes you feel any better it hasn’t been all sunshine and roses for the Horde yesterday either.

ASMR and GRIZZLY were out in force patrolling between WPL and EPL, preventing anything less than a full raid from getting into Scholo or Strat without a couple corpse runs.

It really just seems as if the biggest losers in all of this are unfortunately the smaller guilds and groups of independent players and their friends/family who feel the brunt of the imbalance the most.

Guilds like Grizzly couldn’t care less if the server were 99% Horde 1% Alliance, because they can call reinforcements at a moment’s notice from anywhere in the world, and no matter how large the Horde population is, we aren’t generally concentrated in large enough numbers to do anything about that.

Roaming bands of 5 Horde are just fodder for the larger Alliance zerg guilds, but they certainly can make things very unpleasant for the other Alliance players who are just out trying to do their own thing.

No.

Corpse camping is explicitly described as NOT griefing by Blizzard.

I’m a lobbie on Herod. Questing just fine. Just got to stay alert.
