It’s not, though. We still get the other game stuff, and the WoW mount is still present. If anything, they added a slot for it.

Oh. Yeah, Remornia is cool, but Denarius is literally inside of it and trying to claw his way out (see: Venthyr story quest where even just one of his amulets tries to mind control Renethal), seems weird to believe it could be wielded as a weapon. And yes, I know Priests have that sentient dagger, but in the story-line it literally tries to like take over the players mind IIRC.

Also that whole sentient sword/Denathrius thing falls apart when you CAN earn the sword, it’s just wasted as a Battle Pet.

Meh. It’s a special limited edition mount that would otherwise be tied to Blizzcon right? I have no desire to buy it so w/e but more power to people who want it. (Also I personally think the whelp is very ugly but as its tied to TBC classic I get why they made it a thing!)
Also hm, went back to only the one Overwatch skin this time. Wish they’d maybe brought back Illidan Genji/Tyrande Sym but I can see why they won’t do that.
pet and mount cost twice as much as normal i dont like this feels like a shake down

hell no. already paying. little bits of data which is already downloaded isn’t worth 40 to access it just so i can use it once and never again.

Sire D kicked out the soul of the sword and jumped into the sword in its place. And so the battle pet is the soul of the sword devoid of its original body… but in the Shadowlands souls can take on the physical appearance of their original body, in this case… the appearance of a sword.
But yes, they could have written the story differently if they wanted to give us the mog for that weapon. Having said that, do player characters need to be able to wield every single weapon that has ever canonically existed? Can we not let there be actual lore weapons and armor?

Lore should enhance/enrich the story not limit/blockade.
If that type of angle was taken to heart we would never have been able to wield Ashbringer. This is why nobody cares about lore, because it tries to gatekeep.
They really don’t honestly. Everyone tries to hype every new weapon as needing to be as rare and transmoggable as what corrupted ashbringer/atiesh ended up being once transmog rolled around. You know sort of a comparative cope (if I can’t have that then this thing that looks cool needs to be just as rare) of not having the weapon.
