It adds a spell in your spellbook that teleports you to the dungeon you completed at the seasonal required level (this season being level 10). The teleport is on an 8 hour cooldown, but is refunded if you finish a m+ dungeon. At this point there are many portals, and more added every season as older dungeons are modernized.

Well it took some time but I got my 8 m plus done for the vault. Probably won’t bother with delvs this week as I need to farm gilded crests for upgrades and have my tier already. Hope everyone’s keys are going well!

I timed 8x +10s and got my portals. I’m hoping for a myth tier chest. I’ll catalyze boots in a week and have a functioning mythic tier mog.

Got my 8 done, 11s are much MUCH easier than 10s it feels like just from the jump in quality of player. Already kinda running out of good vault upgrades though, I need the rare neck / cloak from mythic more than anything from keys. Got 639 tier, a belt waiting for when I need a socket, 639 trinket, spymasters, I’ll buy boe boots, wrists are crafted.
I think it might genuinely just be rings and gloves.

the 15 seconds per death
the annoying affix we need to interact with (after providing us at first with some that wouldn’t)
and once again an asinine season cap on crest and valor stones where players are already hard lock on actually gear upgrading

Solid post and it highlights an underrated aspect of tanking. Setting the pace for the group is an important skill for a tank to have. I spent most of Dragonflight S3 and S4 tanking, and I would always start off a dungeon trying to get a feel for the group, i.e. if they were interrupting and using CC, and how fast everything was dying. If it felt like no one was interrupting and mobs weren’t dying very quickly, I would slow down. If it felt like the group was plowing through everything and using their full kits, I’d start going for larger pulls as my defensive cooldowns came available. Also, the difference between a Fortified and Tyrannical week should dictate pace since trash mobs hit harder during Fortified.
I wish more DPS spent some time tanking to understand pacing, and that there might be a reason your tank isn’t gogogo with their pedal to the metal.

This season will keep being a disaster until they change or remove Challenger’s Peril. Thousands of ppl already dropped M+ this season because of this and more will keep dropping out of it in the weeks to come.

Finished 8 10s on ny sham.
Did 8 8s on my ret.
I just do my own key then drop it back down from 10 / 9 for 8. Easy crest farming for my alt. Zero issue getting groups this way.

My unwillingness to do higher keys is making it more difficult to do raids now too.
M+ is way too bad to be this important in the game.

Really hard to get invites past a 6 at this point. ilvl 615 now and 1925 IO, still impossible. I did 4 this week topping out timing a 7. This season totally blows. I’m just doing less and less runs and opening the window less to even try.

The toon I do keys with a consistent M+ group has a full Mythic row for their vault. No raid slots this week. Need to prob get a delve slot tonight.
My personal toon (BDK I use to starch that Tank Itch I get sometimes) has a full Delve vault row. But legit zero raid or mythic plus (least this week).
And my priest that I use to help some friend’s heroic prog raid has a full heroic raid vault row. But like only one Mythic slot and no delves since doing delves as a healer solo is not my cup of tea.

That is the life of a non-meta DPS, unless maybe you have high IO and/or item level for the key level you are applying to or posting.

I did roughly 30 Mythics this week. 9s and 10s. All pugs. Some failures but most timed or completed. Destro lock. Def not meta
