SMF itself is fine, but I still think TG should only apply to 1 hand, not both. Prot should have the option!
I mean, we didn’t really ask it to be balanced or work. We just wanted to be able to equip one handed weapons and a shield in all specs as we walk around. We can keep titan grip as the only useful style on fury and I’m cool with it.
I liked TG better when it was still an April Fool’s joke.
My transmog just doesn’t feel complete if I can’t dual wield my two bloody meat cleavers. If I want to do maximum damage I am forced to use two meat tenderizers. While they look okay when I am in combat, they look stupid sheathed on my back. They are small enough that they should be sheathed on my hips!

Just the other day, ran into a Warrior who had 1 Two-Handed weapon and 1 One-Handed Weapon equipped… in a +10 Mythic.
I asked him what he was doing, he said “Drops man”.
Another in the group said: “Dude, just set your loot to Arms.” Guys mind was blown.
And after a chuckle, I realized how absurd it actually is… the proper way to gear as Fury is to set your Loot Spec to Arms to avoid crap like that.

Ok I understand that you prefer TG. I play TG too,its the best option…
But I’d rather play SMF 100% of the time, for the look, the feel,the speed, the rp, …everything !! For me,i know it look badass to have 2 two-handers, but for me its way too much. I would rather be a master of these 1 handers and do a “death metal solo” speed of attacks then having two big chunky weapon, all day and night.
Your arguments about those who play TG prefer it like so is invalid. And those lovely 1h weapon need to go to someone else the pal/war tank and frost dks

It could easily be resolved if they lifted the transmog restriction. The whole left side of the talent tree can be played with TG. There’s no reason why that build cannot be played with TG.
Honestly I wish they would just give the options for every spec to use weapon types that make sense.
No reason they can’t work toward 2h/DW Arms/Fury/Survival/Frost/Unholy/Enhance

I would add ww/bm monk and blood DK to that list as well.
I think DW Blood DK would have to be its own sub DPS spec like Gladiator for it to work.
The mechanics make tank specs hard to change their weapons.
The problem with those who said they like smf, is that blizzard has shown they cannot balance it, currently even if you have 1 handed weapons that are 12 ilvl higher than 2h weapons it’s a dps loss over titans grip, aesthetic should never be a dps loss but as long as smf exists it will be

That’s definitely possible with all the class changes that have happened over the years. It was possible in Cata and I still miss it.
I still remember a DK friend of mine during Cata tanking heroic DS as dw blood with 2 souldrinkers. Granted, the leech effect definitely helped. The self-healing as a blood DK with souldrinkers was crazy back in the day. I’ve wanted to see dw blood DK return ever since.
Fudge i remember a bdk soloing Challange modes in Mop with 2 soul drinkers
