Anyone that has X amount of games logged on any spec should not be forced into 1300 placement games on an alt. You are playing 10 games I believe at the moment and if you lose a single one which of course in blitz is inevitable you will leave placements at 1200 mmr and the previous 10 games were played for nothing.

How does the mmr work during placement games? Like did you start at 2120 and that was after the first loss, or was that at the end of a string of losses?

No clue I don’t even think blizz knows how mmr works. Mmr Carrys over every season. So cr reset but mmr stayed the same. I was in 2k mmr games with o cr this season and shot right up to 1800cr My season ended on opening day as I only ever play to get elite set. On the other spectrum they have placement games and blizz never shares the math involved it’s such bs. No hidden math no scaling! Get rid of it
No i started at 1300/1400 whatever the fresh mmr was. I won 4 in a row climbed to 2120 mmr but as you can see it didnt really matter much
I had roughly the same issue but my mmr dropped over multiple games.
I won 5 in a row, got up to about 2k mmr, had 2 draws, which kept the mmr roughly the same, then I ended up being the person elevating the group mmr and had a few games and I plummeted back to the start. Not fun.
Yep thats the current placement system, you are effectively playing 10ish games for zero reason then restarting. Good for new players to the mode to figure it out before griefing lobbies but really a detriment to everyone who already knows how to play
If only there was a way for them to make MMR affected by your play and not just W/L. Flags captured/returned. Bases capped/stolen. even dmg/kills as well. Low MMR games often feel like 1v15 and it sucks you get no credit for things you did well instead of literally just praying next game your team will do something.
That’s an entirely different subject I just want placements games to be removed for alts of people who have played plenty of blitz.

I though the underlining issue was the massive MMR drop. Which could be mitigated by other means than W/L.
