Get on your bad motor scooter

Is there anything more relaxing than taking your Mekgineer’s Chopper and just riding around the old areas? I took one long ride from Stormwind to Ironforge (on my dwarf shaman) then continued to refuge point in Arathi Highlands where I stopped…for now…Awesomeness.

Blizz should do contests with racing your chopper from one city to another…A time trial…

That would be pretty fun to do like a long distance drive. Similarly to what undermine has, but with the increased speed for rewards like different vehicle colorations or something simple to get the activity rolling.

Always enjoyed driving the roads with my monocycle although I believe Dragonflight is the toughest since Valdrakken doesn’t have any roads leading out of the zone. :world_map::robot:

I also can’t help having that great Montrose song running through my head while I ride that chopper…

That zone surprisingly looks good for its time. I just recently went there for a chance at the mount, and noticed how good the graphics were for the time it has come out. And the fact that I liked the sheer size of the zone.

Throw in a couple of travel points for doing these “no flying” travelling and it really could be a thing. Hand out so many travel points that the monthly max can be reached be ground exploration alone. When doing this you can only use ground mounts or be on fot.

Look at you all doing some old world sight seeing & role playing. I used to druid buff everyone on the road regardless of faction. It was a simpler time.

There used to be a group on OCE that did a long chopper drive for charity. Not sure they’re around anymore, but I participated one year and it was really nice.

Mekgineer’s Chopper always fills me with nostaglia. It used to be such a coveted mount.

Day 2, drove from refuge point through hillsbrad foothills, then hinterlands. Then through western plaquelands where I stopped at the entrance to eastern plaguelands to buy some delicious homemade cherry pie from Fiona. Circled around Eastern plaguelands went through Western PL again to visit Uther’s Tomb and ended up in Chillwind camp. I haven’t been in some of those area in long time…memories…

Sometimes I get tired of doing things and I start to use every portal in my bag and toybox. I usually end up doing stopping at one or more of the places and doing some reminiscing and sightseeing.

There’s a loop that I like, in the low-level Alliance zones. Start on the road east out of Goldshire. Head into Westfall, then south to Sentnel Hill. South again, turning west to take the bridge into Duskwood. Follow the road through Darkshire, then north not Redridge, and hang a left into Elwynn Forest. The loop ends back in Goldshire.

It’s a nice, relaxing ride on a ground mount. It’s a nice ride on a steady flying mount. It’s demanding, exacting course on a skyriding mount, especially going through Duskwood.

RP walking through Ashenvale and old Darkshore trying to recapture my earliest memories of the game.

Followed by Howling Fjord music. Fishing on my favorite beach in Feralas. Those are pretty good.

Day 3, got on my Tauren Druid and started at Stormrage Barrow dens in Moonglade and attemped to ride all the way to Lands End Beach in Tanaris. Made it in 55 minutes but not without having to exit the chopper twice due to the path getting wonky around Thousand Needles…Had fun…

Thanks…
