Get off Blizzards butt on this China thing; you have no idea of the idiosyncrasies of managing a corporate environments PR. (Albeit blizzard has not done a great job in the last year).
On this particular subject I will defend blizzard however; it is not their place to dictate political bias of a countries affiliation. That being said, blizzard did what they did so they could stay in the Chinese market.
Which would you rather have? A Blizzard foothold in china so you can actually play their games; or no foothold in china so you’re fricked from playing any of their games? – all due to the action of 1 or two individuals?
Grow the hell up, blizzard is a business and a business’ goal is to provide you with a service and make money. They are not going to sacrifice an entire market for your flaccid attempt to virtue signal your world view of a perfect world; because in the end it wont accomplish shet.
I’m sure individuals at activision-blizzard feel much differently than the corporate actions that they take at times; but they are a service company not a political party – this was an attempt to stay as a-political as possible and still be able to provide china with their content.
