General feelings after 9.1/TBC Reveal

Hmm.

When do we get a Starcraft mmorpg? If they won’t do it can they give the rights to somebody else?

Nope. Just like WC3 Reforged was a flop, D2 will probably follow the same route. Blizzard hasn’t made a decent game since

Diablo 3. Yep that’s right, D3 was the last decent game and that was 9 years ago!

except it’s not Blizzard making it, it’s Vicarious Visions. The guys who did the amazing Tony Hawk 2 remaster. Activision folded that company into Blizzard for this reason, to make those games great.

This was my thought too. Just pure Activision greed on full display; no actual hype. They’re probably going to add a call of duty style Battle Pass at some point too.

Oh and let me just say 1 more thing, that pvp mount is an absolute disgrace ugly piece of crap lmao that felt like a straight up troll. is that the best they got?

Unphased is how I’m feeling. Maybe a little bit of disappointment and irritation.

you only have to pay if you want to keep a copy of your character on BOTH Classic ERA and TBC Server.

Boosts for classic is pretty damn disappointing but 9.1 looks cool. Only 2 things that bother me are the recolours for the seasonal mounts and the Night Fae flying mount looking super weird in comparison to the other convenants.

Ok I actually should of mentioned this in my OP but I don’t know how I feel about ANY of the covenant mounts tbh. I like the Kyrian one but the other 3 are not… my cup of tea. I feel like there is a lot of inspiration around SL for beautiful or cool mounts so to see those was a little jarring. And agree on the Night Fae ones especially. Kind of look like some science project gone wrong.

The server will migrate and your character stay on free of charge.

I am looking forward to it more than I did Classic. I really like that they learned from Classic and they are actually keeping more challenging versions of bosses so people dont clear Grul, Mags, and Kara at 68.

Because they only need to design the armor for one model.

With player armor they need to design it for like 20.

D2 was literally the only thing I was hyped about.

Felt very predictable. I kept waiting for the “oh by the way [insert surprise reveal here].” I can’t even imagine what they would have shown back in November. Feels lackluster.

I actually really like the venthyr mount. Kyrian one isn’t bad either. Necrolord’s is literally just a giant housefly and the Night Fae get the flying og from Neverending Story.

Couldn’t care less about classic stuff and won’t be playing it.

Very little revealed looked interesting to me. The new transmogs look terrible. Won’t be using them.

Flying had better be account bound and not per character or I’m done. Wanted to level with it.

New Torghast content is 100% pointless with no reward. Why would I have any interest in more soul ash. It’s not repeatable without a meaningful reward.

Raid looks meh. Dungeon looks more interesting than raid.

Maw content. “Yay”.

Terrible lore.

2/10 if I’m being generous. Night fae mount is the only one that looks remotely interesting.

Edit: and walking hand is interesting I’ll give them that.

Watching the Bob Ross Twitch channel garners more excitement than whatever Blizzard coughed up out of their lungs from today’s presentation.

I like the idea of the Venthyr mount, but I wish there was more… flare to it? Maybe that isn’t the finished look but it just looks unfinished. Like maybe add red veins through the wings idk

I tried Classic for a few months and it just wasn’t the same. Zero desire in a repeat performance.

TBH, I’m way more pumped for TBC since I skipped it after I took a break from classic. So TBC is newish to me, since I did play a week for the launch then just quit WoW for almost 10 years after that.

As for 9.1 it doesn’t look bad and I will def. play it, but I was disappointed that there was not 9.2 or a hint of 9.3 like the last few Blizzcons
