Will there be buffs to shadowlands gear so I can do this event?

It’s a skill issue. Gear isn’t going to carry you through it like it did in Legion when we could outgear it by 14 miles.

I’d like to know why enchants from different expansions scale differently. How hard is it to make them all scale down to the same power level?

There will probably not be buffs to Shadowlands gear. Who knows how long it will be before the Mage Tower rolls around next anyway? You can always take the time in between to collect a special set of gear for it.
You can do it in Shadowlands gear. Mage especially is very easy to do in Shadowlands gear.
Lmao “it’s a skill issue”. But also go farm past expansion gear and consumables to complete it 
I completed all 36 in legion without overgearing them I am confident that the tuning is still wrong for in full shadowlands gear.

Yeah ageee fire mage was easy in shadowlands gear but then compare it to other classes and it’s a different game. The tuning is all wrong

You don’t have to farm those things. There are people completing it just in their SL gear that can’t be bothered to go farm old content.
What do you consider outgearing them? I consider the MT to be tuned for people in Mythic Nighthold gear.

They don’t. Older expansions just had much better enchants than SL did, as a % of player power.

I did it on 9/12 classes just using my usual PvP gear.
Apparently, yeah.
This could’ve been an interesting way of keeping legacy content somewhat relevant, though. I wouldn’t mind putting together a bis set for mop/wod challenge modes.

WoD CMs have everything disabled. Even sockets. Spinner trinket was the bomb though.

Correct. Not sure why people keep pretending there aren’t cheese ways to complete it. Whether you can do it in SL gear or not is irrelevant. There are better gear sets to help you with challenges than SL current gear.

You can very well beat it with SL gear, you don’t have to farm any gear for it unless you need that crutch.

A lot of people beat it in Legion when they could outgear it and afk-win.

This doesn’t have anything to do with present situation. Why do we keep pretending that the MT is not badly tuned?
People have complete it. Yes
People have done it with no cheese gear. Yes
People have done previous versions. Yes
Still doesn’t mean that some encounters are badly tuned and the release of this was nothing short of a fiasco. Is it impossible? No. But they have been once again, terrible at handling this piece of content.

Did you even read why I said that? What I was replying to? Context matters. Don’t cherry pick.
It gets scaled down to a certain ilvl. Doesn’t matter if you are ilvl 200, or 400 if it was available.
The best players can complete it in their regular gear. But they already have the best itemized gear, and they’re using the right consumables, etc.
And oh, look, even the best players are using timewalking gear.
