Gearing for expansion

Hey all, Im not trying to get mythic raid gear but having at least a mid tier raid level for starting out always makes the first two or three levels so much easier.

Aside from hopping into some normal and heroic clears and getting a few mythic pluses any other ways to get a good set of gear in 11 days?

I’m basically asking if there’s any things they put in recently I missed for catch up. I haven’t played for about 8 months FYI

The invasion event that’s going on right now is a good source of gear (iLevel 252 if I’m not mistaken). Between gear drops and the vendor you can get a lot of gear in an hour or two. Also do the special Uldaman dungeon run, I got a couple upgrades out off that.
