Where did I make it about myself? You special

I’m talking from actual experience. You arent… what I really wanna say I’m not. Dont want a week vacation. lol

Nobody was talking about you… Because nobody cares.

You came in here talking about Wrath is more popular then era… YOU DONT PLAY BOTH (you raid log on one and not play era).

So, what the hell are you trying to say? dumb sh1t thats what. lol

Yes, Wrath has more people playing it than Era, that is a fact.

according to what? you? lol

I am playing era and I can see for myself (as others have mention on here) that the world is alive. I have log into wrath and can’t find one soul in northrend. I mean, what else do you want? A website to tell you otherwise?

Cool. I can go to Elwynn forest and see 50 people… Place is HOPPIN… It has more people playing it than anything I swear to god!

More people in Wrath and once the HC fad is over with you guys will be the laughing stock of WoW AGAIN

Ok, I get it. You are retarded.

I wont pick on you anymore. lol on the ignore list you go.

Remember the days you had to get on discord in era to try and scavenge up enough people to get 1 WSG at peak time on a Friday on Era? Thats your future to be relived.

In truth he’s probably right.

Wrath has more players logging in and playing.

However Era is definitely more alive than the wrath world at the moment and that’s not just cause of “the HC fad”. I was surprised when I logged into whitemane the other day. Saw more people running around than I expected and more than I see on my wrath server regularly.

I dont know and I dont see it.

I have log in to both since I have a lv58 hunter on era and I’m working on a lv79 twink in wrath. I havent seen one alliance out in the northrend world leveling. On era the world is very much alive people of all levels super active.

I get that but you can look at outside sources and see that more people are playing wrath. The world itself is empty cause that’s just kinda how wrath is at this point. People are boosting in dungeons or just grinding dungeons or raid logging. But cumulatively between all shards wrath has a higher player count. Era just has a more alive world partially cause it’s smaller but also cause it actually has a world to play in that you can’t zoom through like wrath.

I see what you are saying. I still think Wrath is dying and only time will tell, I guess.

We are at almost 500 replies!

This is freaking awesome and I appreciate everyone participating in this conversation.

LET’S GOOOOO!

GDKPs and, by extension, boosting are only a problem because players can buy gold. If there was no gold buying, it would be a niche alternative to the mainstays of PUG and guild raids and boosts would be an exclusive service to players who not only have a max level, but have also spent time and effort getting gold to twink out or level their alts. The plague of GDKP and boosting adverts exist because enough people buy gold to cause these alternative gametypes to explode and become more of a paid service than a different way to play.

Furthermore, one thing not mentioned in the video is that gold sellers are not only selling gold through mail. They also are willing to do it through the Auction House and take a “cut” from their profits in order for the gold selling to get past current Blizz tracking systems. That’s why you see those weird auctions every so often with super overpriced items, because gold sellers are buying them to give gold to players who pay for it. Also this entire setup circumvents the detection systems of trading high volumes of gold or sending high volumes of gold through the mail.

Im not gonna claim there isn’t gold sellers using the AH to deliver gold, however…
Most of those inflated price items aren’t gold sellers they are just opportunistic trolls taking advantage of people not paying attention to what they are buying

They make the minimum bid lower than the other normally priced items of the same type so that they show up first on the list when you search for them, and then they make the price something like 917g when the regular price is 17g so at a glance you dont notice it.

No, even when RMT is removed entirely, GDKPs are a cancer on the game’s culture. There is no defending this intentional design subversion.
