I’m really biased towards Hathor so as much as I understand thinking of her in terms of Venus, she has this wonderful aspect of nurturing and giving hope to the dead in the afterlife that is alien to the Greeks and Romans.

Well, the Carnival itself is around 4 days, but there’s other related festivities on the prior weekends. We don’t have any skeletons, we do have jesters and demons though. That being said, I don’t really like the Carnival, people drink too much, WAY too much, is basically the main point of the thing so is not really nice.
I usually find them annoying too but some catch my attention.

Well, historically our army and population in general were so drunk that Chileans easily invaded during carnival and took two entire states both which had lots of natural resources and were our port to the sea.
