Portland, or at least the part I’m in is not Christmassy at all. There are some small enclaves of decorations.
There is a place called peacock lane that is overly decorated, but otherwise it’s just kind of life as normal.

I hate the snow, but it lends a correct background for Christmas. The lack of what in my mind is a definitive season makes everything seem off. So I’m not thrilled with it.

Not that I know of. I mean in some ways that’s a plus, but their winter weather is too close to my spring weather and so my inner systems are out of balance.

Very delicious. This is very high quality gluten free stuff. I am a little disappointed they put dairy in their cinnamon buns, but their muffins are stellar.

I tried that once. The moisture from the baked goods leeched out and ruined the cover of a few books. They’ve never recovered.

Buildings are pretty expensive, have to just kind of look what’s available.

Plans are difficult with 7 people. An astonishingly small amount gets done here due to the logistics of trying to deal with such crabby people. I’m starting to realize why people drink at Christmas gatherings.
