some of them are just really nice to hold, too.
there’s something special about the coolness and smoothness of a tumbled stone.
i’ll have to get a photo of one of my newest mini project in the morning.
i made a rainbow glass collection on my kitchen window-sill, and it looks really pretty when the sun hits it. 
(i haven’t been able to find any yellow glass yet, but i’m not in any hurry)
…i might extend the window-sill to make it a bit deeper, so i can fit wider base pieces on there.
it’s my zen-zone for when i’m washing dishes

“Some are Tumbled, some are just straight from the ground, and three are orbs. Those were hard to find, but so worth the search. Those are the Pyrite, the Sunstone, and the Citrine. The Citrine was local, but the Sunstone is from China, and the Pyrite is from India.”

a pop-up stall in one of the malls here is selling gemstone pieces… i keep being drawn to one of the pyramids, but have been spending way too much money on fancy things… i have to behave and restrict myself to essentials.

the orbs are nice to hold.
there’s a place here called Gardenworld, which has a store called Collectors Corner.
they sell all sorts of gems in lots of shapes, and geodes, and fossils, and big slabs of polished rock for benchtops/tabletops which have fossils in them, and meteorites, and all sorts of oddities.
once i’ve got the house how i like it, i think i’ll go there and get myself a christmas present (i should be organized by then!)
…and i’ll pick up a venus fly-trap for my window-sill while i’m there!
