Here’s the real perspective. These forums represent a very, very small percentage of the actually player base.
While I agree there are toxic people here and in game, they do not represent the overall community. Your friends should have judged the community off the actually in game community and not this cesspit.
Yes, we all know this. But this place is still the face of the community to newcomers.
When they come here for help, because in game gives none, this is the first interaction they have. No one speaks in chats. Newcomer chat is full of trolling. I know this from experience with this new account.
You may believe as you wish, but your perspective is as an old player and not a new one.
Tell me. Why is a forum the face of a video game? I started in TBC and I started by actually jumping in the game. It was sometime later I found this place.
Except my guild and friends are made up of long time vets and people who just started last xpac. None have these experiences.
I don’t believe the toxic don’t represent the overall community cause I feel like it. I believe it cause it’s fact.
Yeah I was just posting in the beta forums and some of the people there told me I should post in the regular forums, lol. Was just healing forums until they were removed, so not too long on GD in the grand scheme of things.
I wasn’t really all that active until 3 years ago. I just started surfing to kill some downtime at work. Then I started posting. Now I peek in even when not at work to see what the good peeps are up to.
it’s in every online multiplayer game so i guess they should quit multiplayer online and don’t say it ain’t. if you get offended on the internet you really should just stay off and get offended on a game forum at that come on. the majority of the stuff people say are toxic ain’t even toxic you know it i know it . always here to just stir the pot.
