GCD's Needs to GO!

I’d be fine with that if other classes can get a similar pass. I’d like to have astral shift removed from the GCD. It’s not like ele shamans have that many defensives anyway, it’s pretty much our only one.

Yeah no I’m certain most if not all classes in the game need some abilities taken off gcd. I just don’t play everything so I just listed stuff for ret pal.

GCD is so freaking boring. I feel like I’m playing with bumpers

Interrupts were on the GCD until Cata.

You mean since Vanilla alpha? Ok friend.

Imo all major CDs like Recklessness shouldn’t be on the GCD. You should be able to smash your CDs and go absolutely ham for those 15~ seconds they’re active. It feels awful to pop it and have to wait a second before being able to actually attack.

Yeah, either the people who always bring it up forgot or never played the first like 12 years of WoW where GCDs were practically on anything that wasn’t an on use trinket.

All of the expansions referred to as the “glory days” had rather excessive use of the GCD.

You do realise that they increased the duration of those abilities so you actually get more time using them than you did when they were off the GCD.

It just prevents people mongoing everything into one macro.

It’s when classes have multiple open GCDs in a row that there is an issue, classes like BM Hunter using Aspect and Bestail Wrath, or DKs in general etc.

WoWs most successful expansions and it’s 12mil peak were all during times when even interrupts were on the GCD. So yes, the game not only survived but did extremely well.

That’s fine. I don’t care what forums say. I feel what I feel from some devs so it is how it is FOR ME at least.

People who want Classic’s use of GCD for everything can play Classic.

People who want class design more approaching MoP can play ???

If trinket stacking with buffs was the original problem as they said, then there should have been a cooldown that only applied to trying to use a trinket right after a buff, or even a buff right after a buff. But if you used a damage/utility ability after a buff there would be no cooldown.

But they do speak with us. The problem is when they don’t say exactly what some want to hear. That’s one of the many times when players on these forums start trying to speak for more then just themselves.

Inquisition feels bad to press because it is a maintenance buff and does no damage when you pop it. It isn’t even really a cooldown. Sweeping Strikes has a similar problem as well and feels awkward to pop but not as bad because it is at least a ‘cooldown’ in the strictest sense of the word.

Thing is I’ve seen them flip flop over the issues over the years.

We tell them why something feels bad then they go that doesn’t help us we need detailed feed back and when we start giving detailed feed back they go we don’t care about details tell us how you feel.

no GCDs means you can just keep pressing buttons and receiving bacon as much as you can press the button…

Recklessness GCD on a Warrior should go. it feels bad to take siegebreaker because you have to press both before you start doing damage.

not gcd related but it would make demo feel better if tyrant was instant cast. it would be nice to play around min maxing the tyrant windows if it were instant and maybe help a bit with the ramp.

Arcane having it’s major CD bumped to 3m, while overpowered is still a talent, and having like, six GCDs (One of which being rune of power, which needs to go.) to pop before it can burst is absolute madness.

Like I have said previously the only ones I have an issue with out of the classes I play now are Essences being on GCD, but those aren’t going forward into SL so I don’t really care. Using a global before Tyrant on Worldvein or using a global in the middle of infernal to Lucid (and thus probably cap shards) feels bad.
