GCD

The new team is too arrogant. Only loosing millions of subscribers, millions of dolars and realizing that we pay their salaries they admit they are wrong

Oh dear sweet child, Ion just didn't explain it well enough..... yeah that's it he didn't explain it well enough once he explains it well enough you'll enjoy it........ /s
I wish incarnation/berserk were not on the GCD
GCD changes added in 8.0 still feel bad. Cant get used to how !@#$ty it is hitting my cooldowns now.

Even simple things like wraith walk and Death Grip feel bad on GCD.

Also why in gods name did you put Divine Shield on the GCD??

Agreed Crepe (3d graph). Part of the problem is, if you have 2 abilities on the GCD that furnish 12 sec buffs but it takes 5 sec to cast them . . . well you don't need to be Einstein to see how that works.

This is what Crepe means when he points out its good to be specific on what doesn't feel good. If you're naming specific things we can take a closer look and figure out if we want that interaction.

In the Beta we saw this change had the strange effect on Warriors where they still needed to stack all of the Cooldowns but essentially lost several seconds hitting them all. We were able to adjust the abilities and duration to account for this so that you can still play it that way, but you were no longer sitting there spending the first 10 seconds of a fight hitting all of your cooldowns and then hitting an actual damage ability. Everyone agrees that isn't fun. Warriors gave us detailed feedback(some in the form of a meme) about that window that allowed us to rethink it and change it to fit within the GCD changes.

Class Design is something that is never truly finished and it is a constant iterative process, and just because it's in the game now doesn't mean the potential for change is gone. If you're talking about it, we see it. Just be detailed with the spec and the abilities that has those interactions that you think don't feel good.

All the changes you made going into wod, then the changes going into legion and finally the changes going into bfa.
Months later and we still hate having so many abilities on the GCD.

I’m honestly glad the sub numbers are dropping. Maybe the developers will finally take a hint...

Probably not.

It’s almost like they’re intentionally ruining WoW.

Seems like normal wow design.

Let's break something nobody wants changed just to waste time trying to make it work.

The old motto "If it ain't broke don't fix it" seems to fit here.

That time trying to cram a dumb change into BFA could have been used to complete your expansion before you dropped a big pile of steaming !@#$ for us to play.

Beta For Azeroth isn't good.

The only thing this expansion has done well is the art design(as usual) those guys knocked it out of the park.
The best thing about this expansion is the Jains Warbringer video.
lol. we have green text attempting to sway the unpopular vote

I was just thinking this the other day too when I was re watching it. Got me in the mood to play wow but then I remembered how un-fun the game is right now. Even if I logged in I would be in there maybe 2-5 mins before realizing there isnt going to be much going on for 1-2 more months and even that isnt much to look forward to yet.

What they proceed to do with jaina after all of that and in 8.2 is just stupid too.

They keep making changes that nobody asked for, while there are tons of things that players ask for a change and they ignore

So, nothing about GCD on blizzcon? Seriously?
Yes I was praying and hoping for some news about the GCD from Blizzcon. It's obviously a huge factor that has contributed to a lot of people leaving the game. And those that have remained still don't like or appreciate it.

I feel like blizzards ego is too large for them to ever bow and take a knee and get rid of it. When blizzard says to us "don't tell us you don't like it and that it stinks, tell us specially what is bothering you about an ability", I just don't know what to say to this response.

We don't want to tell you something specific, we have told you that we hate the change in all of it's entirety. Don't feed us poo and say what exactly don't you like about the poo?

Really hoping for this to be addressed in the Q&A today at Blizzcon, this change is garbage for the game and has not improved it in anyway at all.

AND IT IS DEFINITELY NOT MORE FUN.

People are just salty because they cannot make 1 shot death macros. All that is required to fix this is adding in a damage ability that does a little damage and is not on the GCD so people have an extra button to push. In fact, you should just turn the autoattack into an attack....thus removing the auto all together. Sure, the people that coast through raiding might get upset but who cares about them anyway.

In actuality, people are pissed about game play feeling like it's immersed in tar....that they've muddied combat, and pruned too many abilities.

The problem lies in Blizzard, not the players. Blizzards inability to admit they screwed up and fix it, but instead saying "You don't know what you want" only exacerbates the issue.

Ion, his crew and anyone who thinks what they did with BfA is at all good need firing ....they're all pathetic devs.

This is the stupidest argument that keeps getting thrown around, you haven't been able to "swifty macro" people since like Wrath of the Lich King. And you sure as hell couldn't do it now, they redesigned classes to prevent that behavior. There is no need to ALSO have forced gcds slowing down the use of that condensed design even further.

This is so true and because they can tune PvP as its own game, they could have just made this change for PvP only. There is ZERO reason to put the GCD changes they made in PvE. None what so ever.

Looking back at this gem a few months later, there are about 15 logical fallacies in this post. My personal favorite is claiming that everyone agrees that the GCD changes are "fun", when in fact the community was screaming for reversion.

This kind of moronic hubris is how you kill the strongest gaming franchise in history.
