That’s exactly why it won’t happen - the modern storytelling team isn’t capable of smart observations like that.
They just continue to have random super female characters lead every story plot and emasculated eunuchs for male characters. I’m not even one of those guys but it’s gotten to the point where even a very ”woke” person can see how ludicrous the characterizations have become
I mean Jesus, remember when people cried Mary Sue about Yrel? Xal’atath is 1000x worse and surely one of WoWs least compelling villains, ever. To make matters worse, the actually well written or otherwise interesting female characters receive little or no development… Faerin isn’t actually a bad character despite their bad writing for the Arathi patch. Jaina could have been a way more compelling villian than Xal’atath and they could have built upon prior story instead of retroactively adding back story for Xal’atath who isn’t even interesting to begin with.
Garrosh was the greatest warchief of the modern horde. He brought it closest to its legacy as an orcish institution and honored the ancestors well. Unfortunately, he was victimized by the whispers of the voids which preyed upon his deepest insecurities and darkest desires.
Thrall led the horde down a dark path attempting to emulate human society far too much.
Vol’Jin did nothing before the random female empowerment era brought Sylvannas into the fold (which was a bad butcher job to her originally very interesting character as someone who operates outside of the spotlight).
We now have the U.N. Leading the horde with no real identity
Garrosh is the second worst. He wasted time, resources and lives on idiotic conflicts that failed to achieve anything of merit and ultimately led to him getting beat to hell. Twice.
By contrast Thrall built the horde back up pretty much from scratch, brought in fresh blood in the form of Darkspear, Tauren, Forsaken, Blood Elves and goblins, established enclaves on multiple continents, Minimized mertiless conflict, restoed shamanism as a component of orcish culture… Like of the 6 warchiefs the horde has had he’s easily the best of the bunch by any honest assessment.
You think I didn’t know this going in? I signed up to kill things, I don’t care if I get killed when the job’s done. As long as Alliance children weep over the loss of their mothers… before I kill them.
