Gamers’ Choice Awards Nomination

All the people with paid subscriptions coming on here to flame the game they are paying for and can’t seem to stop playing…

I’ve never even played Final Fantasy, but it’s got my vote over this piece of trash.

It is literally listed as “World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth.” So no, this award isnt for WoW as a whole, it is for BFA. It is not an award that is deserved. I love this game, that is why I am so open in stating that this game is not fun right now. BFA was launched with crazy amounts of bugs and systems that did not work. I am not giving Blizz an award for that.

By what? The small minority that actually visits the forums? Take your negativity and go home mate.

Edit: Additionally, y’all are some salty players. I get that BFA has its problems, but it isn’t anywhere near as bad as half of you guys are saying it is. If you got a problem with it, stop playing and posting on the forums. Problem solved for both of us.

BAHAHAHA! If you haven’t seen the reception it got at Blizzcon, you might actually believe this crap.

On topic, WoW used to be great, I mean really great, so good in fact, that when TBC launched I cancelled my EQ account that I had from its launch and have never logged back into it, till recently that is.

ActiBliz, you want to know where I’m spending the hours I used to play WoW? See the above statement.

Now as for the award, at this point in the genre, there isn’t much competition, so I believe I will abstain from voting as the past 4 years of WoW have left a seriously bad taste in my mouth.

Semper Fi!

“on par” lets not kid ourselves here, WoW is still on top. It just happens to be the next closest thing. You might finish first, but that doesn’t indicate how far behind 2nd it is.

What the heck is a ‘transient player’?

Well per him, we jump from game to game and don’t stay around long… Up until that point I had only taken one break from the game… Now I spend my money where and how I want… So I’ve been to SWTOR, FFXIV to name a few… I’ll be gone from this one until enough story is built back up again… I mean I don’t want his statistic to be wrong.

No it was the dyslexic trolls…

The fact that the awards are called GAMER’S CHOICE should be a dead giveaway. When an award is nominated and has the term choice IE-Kid’s Choice,Teen Choice,Gamer’s choice picks are often selected by their respective communities in terms of such objects such as movies, music,TV shows, etc. If it were something along the lines of the VGAs,Emmy’s or Oscar’s THEN it would be more along the lines of nominations from their respective inner circles/clubs.IE-Screen Actor’s Guild. A little self research would be very ideal and only higher level posters can link. But anything to needlessly hate on Blizz I suppose Hells, all game companies at this point.

im not BFA is terrible

I don’t know one person who would vote for WoW, lately their expansions have been more unpolished then a Kul’tiran race/weight design…and that’s pretty unpolished…

When Blizzard puts out content that’s acceptable, polished and worthy of an award I’d vote for them, but currently Blizzard circling the drain in my opinion.

In response to your first statement -
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King was World of Warcraft.
World of Warcraft: Legion was World of Warcraft.
World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth IS World of Warcraft. It is not Battle for Azeroth: World of Warcraft.

Each expansion is just the current, temporary, chapter of the game - World of Warcraft.
BFA is no exception.

To your second assertion -
First I will acknowledge that BFA does have some issues. It is far from a perfect game. However, you and many others are severely exaggerating how “bad” BFA actually is at this point. There were bugs at the launch, but there have been bugs at every single expansion launch WoW has had(and Vanilla had far more bugs than any of them). You cannot have a game this large and not have bugs. Blizzard has been fast to react and fix the bugs that there were, especially the major ones. In addition the other MMO’s that have been nominated have been plagued with bugs and issues as well.

As far as your statement that WoW is not fun anymore -I won’t try to convince you that it is. Fun is 100% subjective and if you don’t find the current iteration fun that’s your perspective and is completely true for you. However, that also means the reverse is true. Those who still find enjoyment from WoW are no less correct in their opinion than you are. Systems that some people do not like, may be perfectly fine to others. Why do they feel the need to force this opinion that the game is now “trash” onto everyone else? Why do people feel the need to hurl abuse at the community managers, developers, and anyone who is still a ‘fan’ of the game just because their opinion differs? Why can’t those who no longer find enjoyment in the game simply leave a constructive post explaining what they wish was different – and then move on to other games they can find enjoyment in. Come back to WoW whenever it reaches a patch that looks like something they would enjoy, or simply if they get the urge to play again after a break. There is no reason to sit around posting negativity and hoping the game will fail just because you are unhappy with it at the moment. Contrary to the belief that many posters seem to have - if WoW actually starts failing your issues will not suddenly be addressed. If WoW starts failing the budget will be decreased which makes it less likely to improve, and it is very likely that the corporate would start putting even worse restrictions onto the developers in order to squeeze out more profit from a “declining game”.

I love this post so much. It is right in every single way.

If you had not completely trashed things in BFA to the point where I have gone from anticipating what is next to utterly dreading it, I might even vote for you.

Thankyou <3

The award is for BFA. It is not for content that is 10 years old. No one is giving WoW an award for Wrath or TBC content in 2018. This is for BFA content.

How have I forced my opinion on anyone? I have left post upon post of feedback during the beta. All of it was not addressed. I am simply stating that I do not find the game fun currently. Go look at my post history and you can see me being constructive. I am stating my opinion, same as you. That is not forcing my belief. Cuz because we disagree does not mean I am being disrespectful. How was my first statement rude. I said they do not deserve an award for BFA. That is my opinion on the matter. Nowhere do I say “if you disagree with me you are stupid blah blah blah” I simply gave my feedback.

Well it is easy to ignore silence compared to people being critical. So perhaps the community should just shut up and go away. The whole notion of not saying anything if you don’t have anything nice to say doesn’t work when you are supposed to be paying for a product.

I mean if you ordered food and it came raw does that mean you say nothing? Because I imagine you would have a few choice words about that.

I’m sorry but what? No. WoW sucks now worse than it ever has… Quit patting yourselves on the back and get back to work or I’ll come and take your job from you.
