A community of thousands of players cannot be expected to have to foresight to transfer off entire guild rosters and their alts, spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to avoid the possibility of queue times in the foreseeable future.

This is not the first time that Blizzard has said “layers are a temporary solution and the goal is to have everyone be on one layer”. It’s been this way since the beginning of classic and it’s not blizzards fault that players refuse to make choices based on the information provided.

It has been Blizzard who has been mismanaging server populations from the beginning. They said it was safe to delayer and open up transfers. It wasn’t.

Show me where they’ve recently said this. They said that it was now safe to do so. A day later we’re in 5 hour queues.

We still require that temporary solution.

I don’t understand why so many people are taking issue with layers on mega servers.

If you don’t want to play on a mega server with layers, then don’t play there. Chances are you already aren’t.

But don’t go chiming in on an issue that is not affecting you, by telling the people that it is affecting to suck it up and deal with it or pay money to transfer your 5-10 characters off.

The reality is that the people who it is affecting, its affecting them in a really nasty way where they either miss out on raid nights or they have to babysit their computer in one way or another for literally hours… And it’s not just a few people Its literally tens of thousands of paying customers.

I quoted the only part that mattered for my reply. Meaningful solutions is a matter of opinion and you know what they say about opinions Plus there is no requirement for someone to be serious or even post rational thought. Anyone that visits the forums should realize that. Pay attention to the ones that you like, ignore the ones you don’t, or simply read them for entertainment as I do.
