so you read the title you know what the threads about…the game is clearly ready to be released now…will never know why there waiting so long to release a game from 2004.gotta love them waiting til summers got like a week left and calling the game a summer release they really should just bring up the servers now. kill the privates off and stop making us wait.

Considering there are still bugs being reported and the layering can be awful and dump you in a full cluster of mobs after you just killed 1 by 1 to clear a room I’d say no. But I doubt Blizzard fixes layering at all so it prob doesn’t matter if it launched today or in 2 weeks.
The current test weekend is more about ensuring the tweaks and changes they made are solid for launch day. Spawn rates, layering, etc.

What does this even mean? You know Blizzard has all the behind the scenes, servers and whatnot, actually ready for a full blow launch right now, do you?
No. You do not.
I will also mention a lot of game releases happen on planned dates in order to fit into a calendar of events.
So its Sunday there’s that on the other hand if Blizzard isn’t ready its not coming out. It doesn’t matter if the game is ready, If people are crying its ready It only matters if Blizzard is ready. Obviously they are still fine tuning things. Take a 1-2 week vacation to the beach and it will be around the corner when you get back.
I mean yeah from playing the pre launch test its clear the games in a good state.its rediculous how long we have to wait for this launch on such a old game.
It’s clearly not ready with the hunter bugs and line of sight and hit problems… but just like the BfA beta nothing will get fixed between now and launch, everything is already locked in v_v

It’s still technically Summer when it releases. I am thrilled beyond belief that they waited until End August when Kids are back to School! Perfect timing if you ask me! LOVE IT!!

I’m grateful for the weekend stretch. I’ve been having a blast. Having a few weeks between name day and launch will allow them to adjust for population if needed and fix any remaining bugs.

I have been very grateful for this weekend, too. Got my add-ons and macros sorted out so that those things won’t bog me down at the start of leveling. except for running any updates that come out between now and then. And yay for ElvUI, they came through at the last minute!
Also I’ve got a couple of last-minute things to take care of here at the end of August: one more trip to NYC and a family reunion. But other than that, after launch my schedule is clear.

Guys, this stress test is important. They’re playing with layers and they’re still taking bug reports.
There are still some glitchy textures (which I noticed got fixed by day 2), and people are still finding things that don’t work.
Mod authors are busy using this time to pull mods out of alpha/beta status into “ready” status.
Just let the process work.
Have you seen the “Are you 55 or older” thread? It’s huge. They’re releasing Classic at the end of August so all us old retired folks have a chance to move through the starting zones and get a bit of a head start while you young’uns go back to work & school. We move slow, take frequent naps and pee breaks, and some of us don’t have strong enough hearts for what we may see in Goldshire, so just let us shuffle through before you take over.
