The issue of player clicking on play and the game doesn’t start has been happening more and more frequently, it is happening to other ppl that I talk to on discord too. I have been here waiting for the game to start for a while now, clicking on Play and nothing happens.

it hangs for a while and then it pops? i get that sometimes. or if I re-open, like 4 copies launch?
if you task manager close all BattleNet stuff, it will work.

This issue has been there for a while now and it is getting worse, I was in the game a few hours ago, and now it won’t start, for a very very long time, I even restarted computer, and waiting again.
Now they are time gating even starting the game.

I checked my task manager, I have like 20 wow hanging in the background, none of them are opening.

for me, if i wait - sometimes a few minutes - it starts eventually.
I never have any problems myself.
They’re throttling paladin login and launch attempts!

I am having this issue also. Had to restart my comp twice and eventually when I hit play it loaded. Also samething when it first started happening after maintenance I ended up with 20 copies open. Had to close them all and restart. What’s up with the launcher I wonder?

I’ve been having this issue since DF launched.
I’ve had to restart my PC before I can get the client to work, but it just hangs, clearing out task manager may work about half the time, just waiting doesn’t seem to do anything.
No idea what’s going on anymore.

And here I thought it was just me but yeah I hit play it says launching then it will have nothing pop up for a long time.
I open task manager and there’s tons of them open but not showing up. Idk why it’s doing this but it has gotten worse to the point I leave a wow window open at all times because I kid you not last time this happened it took about 15-20 min for it to finally actually launch with a bunch of fiddling around.

I have the same issue as well. Clicking play does nothing half the time. Only clicking multiple times will sometimes bring up the game client and at that point it brings up about 10 different windows unless I’ve cleared some out via task manager. Super annoying when trying to log in for a specific raid time with friends and it takes me 15-20 mins to get into game.

It took my computer nearly six minutes to launch the game last night, but it’s fine so far today.
this is a known issue that they refuse to acknowledge. It took me doing everything short of reinstalling to get to work last night. I hit play and walked away for 30 minutes for it to open.
it took running as admin one time to get it to work
If I put my computer to sleep it seems to do this at times if the launcher is already open when I put it to sleep. I close the launcher completely now after I log out and before I put it to sleep. Once I wake the computer I start the launcher then load the game. Seems to have solved it for me.
I’m also having this problem. I’ve tried everything including restarts, shutting down everything in task manager, and even changing the DirectX version in launch settings, which a post I found recommended trying. Nothing fixes it but clicking launch one time and then waiting. And waiting. And waiting. If I try clicking more than once, I wind up with multiple copies of the game running simultaneously when it finally opens.
