Game Crashes on upgraded computer. no other game crashes have already tried a fresh install ( see https://i.imgur.com/EErY5UB.jpg)

Basically occasionally throughout the game, my screen freezes and so does my computer. it has only happened on WoW and no other game. It causes artifacts that look like space invaders. added a link to a photo of it in the title as I couldn’t add it to the post.

I agree with Northernlite, we need to see some system files for this system to be able to help. The picture show error that tend to be related to hardware error or under specs systems. the DxDiag will help us check that out.

DxDiag:

  1. Press Windows Key + R.
  2. Type DxDiag and press Enter.
  3. In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
  4. Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save
  5. Paste the DXdiag into the post, select and highlight everything you just pasted, and hit the “code” button (</>). That’ll make the information much more readable.

It happened on another game so I am looking at seeing if it’s something else for a while. I sent my dxdiag through chat support and they said they didn’t find anything so I’m trying to see if is something else

Hey Divine,

The screenshot on the ticket looks like video artifacting. If this is happening in multiple games, the likely cause of the problem is video driver corruption.

My advice would be to uninstall the video drivers using DDU, then reinstall a clean copy from Nvidia.

If it’s still happening after that, contact a local PC tech for assistance reseating the device and hardware testing.

I’m having the exact same problem after playing wow for anywhere between 5 to about 90 minutes i get this crash it hasnt happened for me on any other game after the weird colour flash i get completely black screens but i can still hear audio but it forces me to hard reset the PC to recover.

Your desktop windows manager is crashing like crazy Crispyclean. You need to update windows to the latest version it’s behind a bit.
