Same here. Happy Monday.
Was a bad hotfix https://www.wowhead.com/news/mass-crit-errors-affect-world-of-warcraft-players-after-new-hotfix-330471
git push origin main --force
Just rename or delete your cache folder. immediately resolves.
I’ve heard this so many times I felt some anger before laughing…
Same problem. All characters.
I just got this problem in dragonflight i play on EU so i am posting on an starter account character
I suffer from deadlock on wow.exe executable and system freezes and gpu driver crashes since 9.2.5 and its starting to annoy me that these issues go ignored
Please hire more talented people im getting ptsd just from these issues lately thinking my computer broke only to find a whole thread of me to.
I’m at this point. My game is randomly break while logging in. Only on login and there’s no consistency to it. I think it has to do with my graphics card because I’ve read about it happening to others with the same card, but it’s so rare that there aren’t many threads about it. I’m convinced it’s not my fault but I can’t prove it so CS keeps telling me to piss off.
AMD gpu’s are suffering from lots of MPO issues btw MPO is what broke Nvidia drivers 2 years ago and wow is highly MPO unstable wow i just realized this topic was posted 23 minutes ago today, how did google find this so quickly i thought i just necrod a 23 month old thread
I was having the same issue, just went to the cache folder and deleted everything there to force it to start clean. Seems like it is a local data issue.
yup, having the same issue : (
I am stuck scanning game files while its trying to update
I honestly do not think this can be coincidence but if been clearing cache and shader cache daily and avoided system freezes for almost a week while on older gpu driver ofcourse it feels like the game indeed has corrupt cache issue, and i bet its because of the shader compilation stutter hotfix being just another bandaid creating a new problem.
This is where I am. If you find a fix for the never-ending “scanning game files” loop please post it.
This is what I think it is. I can remedy my loading screen problem by either deleting the character WTF and cache, or by going to the server list and trying to log back into the server. Wish support would look into this and fix it, they had it fixed for the last 2 years until now.
I have 53 alts i wonder if i crashed a lot due cache corruption cos it generates on 1 character then corrupts on the 2e character then on the 3e day i get the bad results like a system freeze or gpu driver crash
It probably had no cache for me early at launch of dragonflight then i started just clearing cache every now and then between characters im getting so confused, some programmer please reply whats going on i wont hate you i just want to know whats happening so i can stop blaming my system for being broken, im getting ptsd from driver issues for last 6 months
Got the same crap going on here, but seems most my guild was able to get back in the game yet im stuck here with this bs something is broke message
Exit battle.net launcher go to game folder that being scanned move it, then start battle.net again find game files and hopefully it stops, and just clear cache folder if that does not fix it then i don’t known appearntly my self tho i could log in just fine after startup but if not checked other characters yet.
Sadly it didnt work. As soon as I moved the files back it started the scanning loop again.
I changed my password and got back in after about 10 minutes but all my bags were gone but my backpack and my reagent bag.
