FYI high score players aren't worth inviting

I think staying within a 100ish-point range of your own io is generally a safer bet, any higher (or lower) can lead to frustrations from both sides. No need for anyone to be demeaning or snarky, and there is a lot of it in this thread from multiple people.

You’re doing 21s and 20s, which means you could probably get to 3200 with a semi-organized group. Do you think you’d become toxic when you got there? Or do you think you’d help others and just use your score as a demonstration to others that you at least know the dungeon mechanics and can probably play your class well?

I understand you may have had some bad experiences, but I’ve had plenty of keys bricked or toxic folks who had low IO score. I would never blame their IO score for their own personal problems. I’d hope you wouldn’t discriminate against me or my friends (who are far kinder people than myself and who spend a lot of time helping guildmates get their KSM every season) just because of our score. Judge us by our behavior instead, please.

  1. I never mentioned full team carries and have never paid for a carry why do you keep bringing that up?

Maybe but I guarantee you have done way fewer up to this point.

At least you put a caveat of “Sounds like” in there.

I have helped many people get through dungeons at this point. I don’t need the score to do that. I have guildmates and communities that take up a lot of my time. Do I expect more out of them? You bet. Do I force them to play at my level? Absolutely not. Do I Go in there and expect them to pull their 15 keys like a 20? Nope. I offer advice and gameplay improvement where possible and yes, I get frustrated with them sometimes but like you my friends are better people than I am, and my frustration isn’t worth losing that.
My goal is to bring them up to my level and not expect them to do it my way right away. That is the key issue and therefore causes reduced value to the skill of those who behave as if everyone can play like them if they only force them too.

My guy, you make a lot of accusations about strangers and paint with a very broad brush. Stereotyping high OR low io players makes you the bad guy here no matter how you cut it. Quite frankly you sound bitter and jealous. For a more enjoyable experience I would stop focusing on everyone else and just be the best version of yourself. Any experienced player would be a fool to roast a less experienced player in a dungeon with the knowledge of what it takes to get to that point. If I was in a 20 key with you for example and you made a mistake, I wouldn’t be surprised or upset, I’d expect it to happen. It makes the situation worse to roast you mid key and quite Frankly makes the experience less enjoyable for me and everyone else.
Toxic people are toxic in nature and it has nothing to do with “score”. I do multiple keys every day with players that are unqualified for said key and have no issue with it. I actually enjoy it! The community is generally open to learning if you are kind and approachable. I also privately whisper advice as opposed to making them feel like they are being out on blast in public party chat. I have never experienced backlash.
You may not want to hear this, but you could go AFK in any of the keys you have timed and with the right group be successful pretty easily. Throughout this entire thread you haven’t even considered taking a step back at any point and are hell bent on taking this idea to the grave. Looks like a personality problem here… and not everybody else’s

Since OP doesn’t want them, I’ll take his share of 3200 IO players to run my 15 and 16 keys instead. Always happy to see a Keystone Hero app and do 20k DPS.

I can only get 14k as tank. QQ. No invites for me I suppose.

RIPPPPPPPPPP lol

But yeah, I duno guess OP had a bad experience, but I love seeing orange IO scores apping for keys, personally. They always do great DPS, run mechanics well, and never rage because they’re just there for fun anyway. High IO tanks usually do most of their own healing anyway, so I can just tee off with DPS and throw out group heals as needed. Good times, noodle salad.

So much this. If you have a good attitude while you’re playing then you will experience players and groups differently. It’s more common to see someone who has a terrible attitude complaining. OP being a prime example of that.

Been running quite a few keys in the 15 range on a variety of characters and players in the io range you describe tend to be total divas about the route the tank takes or silent blasters doing 25k+ without saying a word.

I’ve shared a similar experience with higher level players, and I can relate to their frustration. The difference is those who are willing to get into chat with players who are a bit lower then them and give tips/help with strategy.

There are toxic players at all levels, you can’t broad brush any bracket of players because there are awesome players at all levels and really not-awesome players at the same levels.

You had a bad experience, move on.

To players like you i say, dont pug if this bothers you.

and everyone 2700-2850 pretty much don’t understand basic mechanics lol

Bit of a projected “stretch” there for feel goodies I guess  ?

No it’s just the facts. They are also the ones that do less DPS than the tank. It is a generalization because it is based on repeated occurrences.

Nah, that’s just how you want to “feel” because it makes you special in your mind. (And others that share these emotional / ego feelies.)

I mean there’s bad players all over and sure some get carried but it’s as indicated a stretch to assume that everyone below 3k is bad.

Just like the thread / OP post is just as much of a nonsensical generalization as well…

It has nothing to do with ego. It’s just the facts and if it hurts your feelings then you are probably one of them. Not everyone under 3k is bad, but the vast majority have no idea what they are doing mechanically or class.

Generalizations are not “nonsensical”. They exist because they are an observed pattern. Generalizations are not the same as stereotypes.

Everyone at 3k is pretty bad.

Anyway, that’s better you adjusted your viewpoint to “almost everyone” lol. Good job bro.

It is still almost everyone. What do you think vast majority means?
