Speaking of which, I remember one of the creators of Warhammer gave a interview once and was horrified that so many people loved the Imperium, when they clearly were meant to show off Mankind’s worse attributes and how power corrupts even those with good intentions

Its one of the reasons why I dont really care for the setting anymore besides the lack of variety and attention outside of space marines.

I love the setting mainly just because everything is soo over the top and ridiculous that I cant help but enjoy it. More a fan of Warhammer Fantasy myself though.
I still have my 40k favs though. Like the Eldar, Tyranids and Sisters of Battle

Warhammer fantasy does a lot of things better than 40K. It reminds me of the time when the 40K table was known as “the kids table” at meets. Much better variety, much more diverse line ups, and even the narratives are much better thought out.

Yeah. I’m probably in the minority on this, but I love the novels more. I even like the Age of Sigmar that’s currently going on. It’s definitely gotten better as time goes on
All this talking about worgen strength and tenacity always being ignored makes me salty, cause the entire horde is in that boat. Orcs can throw entire horses, but normie human soldiers can contend with them.

While I don’t disagree with your point, that does undermine all those people who say they want Scarlet Crusade again because they’re nuanced villains. I like 40k for the depth and creativity behind the setting.
One can homebrew their army backstory as being a less bad part of the Imperium. For me, the Imperium aren’t the good guys, they’re the less bad guys and that’s the point of the setting. It’s a pretty screwed-up universe where a civilization like the Imperium is one of the better options (rather than being Tyranid chow, Chaos pawns, Ork punching bags, Dark Eldar’s livestock…)

I wish I had the right words. But just know that there are people who care and sorry things are so tough right now.
