Fury Warrior is an AOE heavy spec and the bosses in Nerubar are notoriously single target with very brief AOEs. Makes sense? Somebody has to be last. If you’re so chapped, roll Arms. There are plenty of classes in way worse shape. Plenty of specs who go multiple expansions in the bottom 5.

Garbage single target. Garbage multi-target. Only good thing fury does is pad damage by sniping adds. And even that’s getting nerfed into the ground.
But hey, not every class can be good at everything. Unless they are Mage.
Burst AoE heavy. Check our M+ damage ratings. We aren’t actually good at AoE, we’re good at these very specific add spawn windows that they put on 6/8 bosses. If next raid isn’t identical to this one we won’t have a place in any form of content.

When Liquid killed the last boss, Riku was a fury warrior and obliterated the charts. He beat out some of the best players in the world.
If you look at some top parses for Sikran, a single target fight, you’ll see fury putting up a little over 1.1mil dps. Is it as good as arcane mages or bm hunters? Nah, but 1.1mil is still a lot, and, literally more than 99% of what players put out there.
So, sure, you can look at the overall ratings on a week 1 mythic prog and judge a class based off that, or you could dig a bit deeper and find a bit more nuance to the data. Fury isn’t bad right now. Did Blizz go overboard with the nerfs? They totally did - kinda the same case with Outlaw. But true pumpers will still pump, and if you think it’s your class that’s preventing you from pumping, then you might just be bad

People who cry about “MUH RANKINGS” usually aren’t the type of player that fits the bill when people say “Bring the player, not the spec.” They’re usually FOTM chasers who compensate for being poor at the game by playing whatever is most broken. Warrior being (one of) the easiest class in the game paired with being overwhelmingly strong thus far brings a certain type of player to its ranks lol.

Yea I have no clue why they keep nerfing Fury. I have pretty much every class now in M+s that are 5-15 ilvl below me blowing past my DPS.

These rankings for top of the cream full best in slot players don’t tell anything.
Give me a statistic of average joe with 2 pieces of gear from the delves and the rest from lfr.
That is what everybody has to play with.

is it bad of me to get upset when hybrid classes do better then pure dps classes? like in my mind rogue mage hunter warlock should always do better then classes that can heal/tank

I just hope they nerf arcane mage hero talents.
It’s not arcane that needs a nerf, it’s sunfury. If everyone took spellslinger arcane would be dead last on that chart.

Just make sure you’re also i625, using 3* flasks, 3* pots, and Augment Runes! THE NEW ONES! lol
Cause I’m sure everyone parsing 60-70 and complaining atm is doing that, right? lulz
Cause I know when I look around, 90% of ppl are more like 610, and you’re lucky if they’re using 2* mats, and Augment Runes are 2-3 months away from common use.

How is augmentation’s damage represented on these? Is it only their damage, or the damage they are adding to other players as well? Genuinely asking. Not here to argue where fury should fall on meters, but I will always argue that no one should be behind augmentation on single target.
