Okay so imagine any model in WoW. Any Model, any race, any creature.
Let’s just say the Worgen model for this explanation.
You purchase an ‘Avatar’, in this case, the Worgen, and you are able to run around as a Worgen. Usually, the Avatar comes with a few different coat and eye colors, and some times some basic clothing.
Now, a lot of people don’t want to be stuck with the colors that come with the Avatar.
SO~!
People like me come around, and either with a UV map (If the avatar creator was kind enough to support one) or a Texture Alignment Grid (Which is the hard way), we can color and retexture the Avatar any way we want to.
So if you want your Worgen to have a Pikachu color scheme, that is something that can be done.

Beast-kin and Furries are two different animals. Furries are humanoids who are into Beast-kin. Just because a Beast-kin exists doesn’t mean it has anything to do with said label. There’s also people who create Beast-kin characters because they like how they look, or they happen to be their favorite animal. Threads like this are going to give them one massive headache.
