Frustrated and at a loss

Please bear with me, the past few days have been rather frustrating and I am trying to keep a level head with this.

For five days now I have been experiencing some server lag that has pretty much made the game unplayable. I opened one support ticket that kept telling me to do this and that system check even after I stated that I have done this already. I was also told to read the forums for help from other players but have not been able to find much out other than I am not the only one experiencing this.
The other advice given was to post in the tech support forum, which didn’t go well because I apparently did not meet the communication expectations of a couple of people who expressed in a trolling manner that I was not listening though it wouldn’t have mattered to express that I was because the trolling had begun. So, in following the advice that I was told that I was not listening to, I am going to try this again:
The issue that I have been experiencing has been, as I have already said, is severe lag. So bad that it takes me 3 minutes to fly from the bank to the flight path in Dornogal. My latency numbers have been between 43 and 55 for both world and home with fps fluctuating between 16 and 54.
The steps that I have followed to rectify this are:

I have checked my network settings and connection with my ISP. This is all fine and in working order and not part of the issue.

I have checked my in-game settings. They appear to be fine and are still set to what a support agent guided me to set back when Support still did call backs.

I have done my antivirus and malware scans along with making sure that all my drivers are up to date. All good there.

I have renewed my IP and flushed my DNS as well as cleared the cache directory.

I have reset my UI. I have made sure that there are no unnecessary background programs running and set WOW priority to high. All good there.

I have updated my game files and battle.net app (patching).

I have logged onto WOW using my hotspot to make sure that the issue is not my wireless internet connection (I am unable to connect to the internet through a wired connection at this current time. Which has never been an issue).

I have also checked with other forums outside of the Blizzard network to find out if this is an issue that only I am experiencing and to see if someone outside Blizzard Support can help. I have found is that a number of other players are experiencing the same game play issue and have offered the same advice that I have just mentioned that I have done.

So the conclusion that I have come to is that I have done everything that I can on my end to deal with this lag issue, unless there’s something that I’ve missed. The only thing that I can see now is that this is an issue, again, coming from the Blizzard network and the only thing I can do is ether wait it out (which means that I will not be able to enjoy the game that I pay to enjoy) or someone helps somehow me to adjust my pc and/or in game settings to compensate. Either way this does not look to be an issue that is reliant on only me to fix from my end and I’m out of ideas.

No one trolled you in the last thread. It was locked because you weren’t troubleshooting, you were soapboxing about robots answering tickets at Blizzard and notified that you were spreading misinformation.

Does your computer meet the system requirements for WoW?

WiFi isn’t built for gaming, so that might be the issue.

I’m not going to argue definitions with you over who did what or even get into any kind of conversation that involves assumptions and accusations . So please don’t start.
Yes, my pc meets the requirements and my internet connection is not a problem and has not been for the almost 3 years that I’ve been using this provider. So saying that my wifi might be an issue right after I state that it has not been an issue is a tad condescending, try asking a bit more than assuming.
The only other time I’ve had this issue in about 4 years was the first run of Plunderstorm and for a week last month.

What are your computer specs, including storage? The settings that support gave you years ago are likely no longer applicable to the current game, the engine makes tweaks and can change requirements with each new expansion.

WiFi can also change. Your router/modem could be going bad. Your provider could have updated something and your hardware is now having trouble running it effectively.

You said you cannot use a wired connection, but is that “I cannot because there is no wiring in the house” or “I cannot because I would have to move my computer to reach a wire”?

Everyone you’ve interacted with has wronged you in some way. Perhaps there’s a common thread.

So what if it worked for 3 years? I’ve had the same ISP for over 20 years and it has intermittent problems every 3–4 years. The internet is imperfect and nodes get switched, go down for maintenance, go out of service, etc., all the time.

You’ve complained a lot about the responses you get, but you provide absolutely no actionable data for troubleshooting. We know nothing about your computer, the type of internet (and provider name) that you use, whether connection tests were collected, diagnostics collected… nothing. Review the pinned threads so you can see that all this data is required of you if you want troubleshooting to happen.

You haven’t provided any info though. Several questions have been asked by myself and a few others. We cannot troubleshoot without pertinent and detailed info.

Though your comment on how the requirements of the game change I said my pc meets the requirements and should not have to defend this further. As for my storage I do have storage space and I am looking to upgrade to a larger ssd drive in the near future. I stay mindful of requirement changes and make what system changes I can when needed.
When this first stared I checked my router and with my ISP to rule out that being an issue. It is not.
I am unable to use a wired connection because of space management between my pc and router as well as currently not having a long enough cord to connect with. Though the wireless connection has not been an issue with this ISP and I did try connecting to my hotspot (which I had to use to play about 3 years ago when the ISP I was using became unreliable) and ruled out internet connection. I will be attempting to try establishing a wired connection after the 2nd. as a precaution check.
As for the settings. I did give screenshots of my current settings on the support ticket I had opened to verify what my current settings are and that the setting change advised to me were already done. I got no response to that input. I did notice two changes in the settings available: 1. the addition of “Use UI scale” right after the “Render Scale” in setting. 2. The removal of “Ambient Occilusion Type” . The concern of my settings is one of the things I felt was ignored when I had a support ticket open and I wish I could post those setting screenshots here to provide more detailed information.
Please allow me time to reply to each person before saying that I am not giving any info? I’m trying to do the best that I can

The standard requests in this forum include a dxdiag report, type of internet connection, both your isp (cable, cellular, fiber, dsl, satellite) and your connection to the router (wired or wireless).

About 50% of the time when we are told that everything is up to date, it isn’t.

Whatever you posted in your ticket none of us can see. We’re all customers. No one in gen or white text works for blizzard.

If you actually want to troubleshoot your issue, then read the sticky posts, provide actual data, and stop attacking forum regulars who are trying to help.

dude, I’m not trying to attack anyone and do not appreciate that remark. I am trying to respond and provide what information I can. I apologize if you see it as “attacking” because this is not what I am intending. This includes when I respond from a feeling on defensiveness which is understandable after some of the responses I have gotten (not just on here exactly).
Like I said, I am trying.

Okay well if you don’t want to provide basic info than no one can help. Someone claiming they meet the requirements is not the same as actually posting the parts in question. While I’m not doubting you in particular, I’ve seen it FAR too many times where folks think they are in compliance when they actually are not.

Since it seems no info will be provided, I wish you luck and I’m out.

Please don’t assume that I do not want to provide any info. The way you worded your question and the statement after gave a misleading direction and came across more on the offense than inquisitive. Now if you opened with something along the lies of “Can you provide more info such as (insert requested info here)?” I would have perceived your request differently.
Remember, we all speak English but we do not speak the same English. So presentation is a vital component. Not intending an attack or to argue, just providing context to hopefully help this go smoother.

No one can due to your failure to provide the information required for said troubleshooting.

I definitely tried to gather actual troubleshooting data:

Instead, attempts at troubleshooting are met with longwinded responses about how you’ve been wronged and no one will help the way you want them to. It’s like begging to win the lottery and never buying a ticket.

You are intent on wasting everyone’s time by arguing how people should respond to you instead of answering questions. We’re all just fellow players, not your servants. I think the fact that anyone is trying to help after all your responses across both threads is remarkable.

If you’re never going to provide data and continue beating the same “everyone is against me” drum, then this thread’s purpose is just trolling and we should stop engaging.

Edits: Several typos.

My exact question was “What are your computer specs, including storage?” I’m unsure how I could have been more clear?

The statements following my question were an attempt to say why that info is relevant to your current connection problems.

You can post links to images by using ` on other side of the link. Though without the PC specs those don’t really mean anything.

I’m sorry but no one here is a mind reader. I did not realize you were still replying/ You can reply to more than one person in a message. Simply highlight the text in question and hit “Copy Quote”.

You’re going to need to explain this one a bit more because lag can mean a lot of things, including things that aren’t actually caused by lag.

Maliciously, maybe. Being wrong isn’t an actionable offense.

I’m not saying that anyone is a mind reader. I was making the statement so everyone will know what is going on.
What do you mean by “on other side of the link”?

Appreciate you, but be aware that their other thread is locked for carrying on the same way as they are here. Among other things the staff had to warn them about:

Posting a rant about me to encourage reporting my posts would fall under that classification.

Edits: Multiple posts were removed so context is missing.

You would use the " ` " key on either side of the link.

It would look like this

A user can copy and paste the link on the box.

This is what that would look like inside of a code block :dracthyr_a1:

`It would look like this`

AT times both happen. The whole time my latency numbers, both home and world, tend to be between 43 and 55. There’s other times that I get no curser response such as when I hover over something and other times I cannot even see my curser.
This is happening only in retail wow. Classic is working fine.
