Frostmourne as a Tmog

While yes I did see that in the end it would ultimately be similar how every other weapon people wanted got added and almost instantly got hated on hence why people won’t really take a middle but I do think the quest line would work highly well but instead of a artifact or legendary I think it should be a legendary Tmog and maybe other classes get similar quests for legendary Tmog for weapons people have wanted

what an awful, cruel, malicious misappropriation of disgraceful ideas.

you’re hired.

It’s a little bit wacky that Demon Hunters get exclusive transmog rights to Illidan’s War glaives of Azinoth. An item that existed before they were even a twinkle in their daddy’s eye.

Death Knights can’t get the same, unless they want the Legion reforged version. How can you be the Arthas cosplay class without Frostmorne?

Add a TW ICC raid and let DK transmog the blade at the end.

the worst part is that the frosk dk artifact doesnt even look like 2 little versions of frostmourne. you’d think there’d be someone out there making replicas of these weapons

A lot of people hated the artifacts on players due to believing what Boredumb said → That some things should be unique to characters.

Now as for the artifacts being bound to very specific classes → For the most part that was actually widely rejoiced and accepted.

But the matter of lore-renowned weapons being held by the players, as opposed to main-characters within the story — Creates more conflict for the narrative than it does benefit … Especially in a Role Playing Game. :person_shrugging:

Hence why I earlier suggested the questline narrative that I did for Frostmourne (Replica) to be presented to the Death Knights, as a reward to being the utmost elite of their ranks – Along with which you’d also be able to justify why MANY players have it, as opposed to just one. :dracthyr_nod:

Lorewise Ashbringer is in a trash can in undermine now hee hoo.

Th-th-that could totally be a replica too! :eyes:

{Inhales big puff of copium}

T-totally, f-for sure — for sure!:dracthyr_uwahh_animated:

If you think about it same with the blades of the fallen prince

And how many different type of Gorehowl that we can xmog? We got penalty of them and I don’t see what’s the issue with Frostmourne being xmog for DK.

In full agreement with the above quote, and lemme add

I mean, they can already run around with “Frostmourne, but in two pieces,” and we survived having 20 Paladins running about with Ashbringer.

That’d require Blizzard to do something for DKs so that ain’t happening

I care.

I would rather not ruin Frostmourne just because Ashbringer was ruined.

Big agree.
My positive sentiment toward it is tied more to its looks than its exclusivity, and it looks great whether it’s carried by one person or one million. Because it’s one of the rare higher resolution sword models that actually looks like a sword that can be swung and cut with.

If they do implement it somehow, I think it’d be funny if we stole one from another timeline.

Bronze Dragonflight shenanigans ensue, and we end up keeping it as a souvenir.

Odds are slim though, because DKs got those pieces of it in Legion to make the duel blades.

It’s basically been turned into another weapon at this point.

I absolutely agree, but going a step further, it should also be exclusive to Death Knights. It is THE Death Knight weapon, much as Ashbringer is iconic to Paladins, or Doomhammer to Shamans.

Make us jump through hoops, like hitting a certain rating in M+, maybe clearing bosses in whatever the current Mythic raid is, on top of clearing the Mage Tower bosses. Make it the ultimate reward for mastery of the class.

My two cents, anyways.

I’ve also already addressed Legion artifacts …
And even made reference to the blades of the fallen prince too. :upside_down_face:

Additionally – T’was even in what I quoted earlier as well.

I’ll quote again, for reference:
