Can someone help me understand why frost mage is sooo much tankier than frost dk?
I feel like a cloth caster with limitless mobility that can nuke your face off in seconds should not be tanker than a slow plate wearing class…
Am I missing something?

They aren’t tankier. They just have insane mobility to kite with. This means they take hardly any actual damage if you use your mobility well. Mages also have incredible defensive spells. 2 Ice Blocks on Frost Mage is one of the biggest things. But after all their CDs, you can absolutely wreck a Mage in a few globals. You can tell who a good or bad Mage is very easily by how well they use their tools.
Now, should Mage be looked at and tuned so they aren’t so slippery? Probably. I think their mobility and some CC (Blast Wave, Frostbite, etc. for example) is more of an issue than their defensive spells personally.
DK is just nuked beyond belief in the defensives department. They need an armor buff. Physical damage wrecks them as if they are in leather rather than plate gear yes.
Frost mages and arcane needs some nerfs.

If you took away every Frost Mage defensive and left them with only double ice block they’d still be harder to kill than a Frost DK.
