Stand next to a transmog npc and be whatever spec you want to copy the appearance from and in this case put your dagger in your first weapon slot and choose the appearance but do not hit apply. Once you’ve done that start switching to sub or sin whatever spec you want it for and at .1s before the cast finishes for changing specs hit apply.
