What is everyones opinion on ilvl upgrades losing crit and when do you become stubborn about it? Was 24 percent crit and over the past few days getting my gear up to 590 now im down to 19 percent crit
All the gear im getting now has no crit on it… do i start becoming more stubborn and outright refuse these ilvl upgrades? I feel like frost is gonna start feeling like rubbish if i keep letting it go lower
Crit’s kind of big if you play Deathbringer. Turning multiple Reaper’s Marks from 2-2.5 million into 4-5 million is pretty huge and converting natural KMs. FDK is a really frontloaded spec during PoF so more crit is really good. Sim the gear and see if it’s worth it or not. I’m trying not to sacrifice too much crit myself.
Thanks for your insight. I play riders in M+ and Deathbringer in Raid - i prioritize my M+ performance more though as I only raid casually
But yeh the simming so far has shown ilvl always trumping but i feel like im not getting the full picture there
Totally just feels but I find 20% is when you start to actually notice a meaningfull amount of KM procs so I like to see crit stay above that. Otherwise strength is king.
Crit is simming higher for me than strength.
I think I’m like 29% crit with buffs

The stats on the gear im getting are just plain horrible, was getting good crit gear in the lower 500-500ilvl range now im approaching that 600 range i keep getting like haste and vers gear

Do you target your gear. Like do you have a list of FDK BIS gear and what dungeon it comes from? I just run the same dungeon over and over till i get the Crit mastery piece I’m looking for. Wow head has a list of bis gear from M+ Raid and overall.
Is that working out for you? Same issue my ilvl inflated yet my stats and crit have dropped, it’s demoralizing. I like what you said here though, is your DK performing well and a relevant DPS in dungeons / raids ?
I’m top damn pretty often in M+ grps and im seen as high as a 99 pars on norm raid and 90 on heroic.
Hell yeah dude I’m gonna do this, ill just start by aiming for low mythic 0-3 for the BIS there then normal raid BIS, I can worry about heroic raid level BIS gear later on once I get my stats right. Im 606 with horrible stats and a ton of versatility because of delve gear, I’m gonna try this instead thank you man
I’d do 2-6. 0s are going to drop veteran gear to where 2-6 is all dropping the same champion gear. At 4+ you start getting better crest to enhance the champ gear higher.
+2s can get you all the champion gear you need for your base. +4s you start getting Runed crest. Then as soon as you can do +7 you start getting hero track gear to replace your champ track.
