What dungeon this season are you going to be pulling 15+ mobs?
Around 9 target counts is roughly even - db breath is higher but I will wait to see that actually played in M+ before I judge.
^^
99.9% of people are not going to play in a coordinated group.
Like I understand that DW with the breath/oblit build is simming higher. But I just don’t think that the general playerbase should worry about it that much when its a janky spec that they are not going to succeed at playing. Shattered blade sims account for target swapping with 5 stacks to pop them or just shattering off 1 target? If its target swapping again the majority of player base is going to mess that up you will need to set up weak auras and have plates to track for 5 stacks. Sims are such a vacuum of an environment.
If you highlight it and press ctrl+e its comes out as preformatted and you can post links that way.
There will likely be some pretty standard double/triple pulls with 12+ targets; just off the top of my head NW will have some huge pulls and breath will absolutely dominate that key if played well, or DB 2h/DW will be significantly stronger than rider. Siege could have some big pulls, mists trash to third boss. Probably plenty more, we’ll see as the season starts/progresses.
In CDs you’ll ramp multiple targets to 5 stacks very quickly as DW to the point where you can weave FS to shatter every other oblit by randomly tab targeting after the first 3-4 GCDs of pillar. I don’t like it, but having to track that isn’t really necessary; shattered frost can do a hilarious amount of aoe damage.
If you care about doing as much damage as you can, you’re shooting yourself in the foot as rider, as things stand at least. Anything is “viable”, but when you start having percentile differences greater than 5%, you’re just throwing away free damage for some very minor aesthetic and rotational differences. Ultimately up to the player to decide.
Masterful and Quick Ruby is the crit+mastery and Crit+haste.
You will want one of the primary stat crit ones. And then I would sim for gem combos, I’m all one type of gem right now, but the meta gem does give crit effect per unique color used i’m really not sure how it works but my sim says that this is higher for my character at this time. You can use top gear in raidbots to sim gem/enchants
Please do take it with a grain of salt, I really like the playstyle and it fits/works with me. But like Rensi mentioned above it is not the highest simming profile right now and although I like it I don’t want to spread bad info.
I dont hit close enough to my sims anyway and I can see a world where crit/haste rider flourishes by just spamming runes all day. Rider is cool enough to at least try to make work.
It’s hard for some bosses because the horsemen want to go to the back of the boss and you can’t reach them, but morgraines dnd offeres 5% dmg and 5% haste. Try to be in it if you can.
You’re actually a prophet my guy lmao shattering blade has been found to be strictly bad at the moment.
I’ll still probably end up liking breath more in raid after having tried both out but I like having the option to go to a oblit rider build that’s competitive.
