Your past life is meaningless. You retain no skills and no preferences from when you were a warm, breathing, living being. Your mind was completely converted, and now all you know is one- and two-handed swords, one- and two-handed axes, one- and two-handed maces, and polearms.
Sorry, the devs have their own idea of class fantasy that completely overrides whatever head-canon a player wishes for.

True but that depends on when you became a DK, 1st Gen DKs got the ming wipe treatment from Arthas, i dont think DKs under the last LK were subject to the mind wipe BUT he did say “Spell Weaver that fell during the war vs the Lich King” So we know the time frame that refers too
