Honestly, Paladin was not the best in Vanilla, with TBC everything not Holy got way more playable and when they reworked it in Cataclysm with Holy Power… since then Paladins where always good. Name me one Expansion where any Paladin spec was garbage?
Compared to Warriors, that always have one of their two DPS specs being garbage or not even close to the other one, sometimes both are garbage and only Tank is good… and then you have some times when Tank is garbage and only the DPS where good.
Warriors had, compared to Paladins, way more ups and downs on all 3 specs. That is due to Paladins having a couple of the strongest skills in the game, when the coolest thing the Warrior got was heroic Leap and Whirlwind… and how long do they have that already.
