Friendly reminder that they made heirlooms effectively useless

Getting from 1 to the level you can start doing current expansion content now takes less time than it ever did previously

Yea my heirlooms don’t show the rested bonus feature when I have a full set of heirlooms on. does anyone else have broken heirlooms or did they really make the bonuses gone?

Slow down and enjoy leveling.

They’re still blue quality gear you just buy once then you have it for other characters. Some looms are more powerful, like the heirloom bow I got from Siege of Orgrimmar.

Or its DPS, since the only thing they pay attention is the meters.

Heirlooms are still great
Enchant them once and its done
SoO heirlooms have sockets which is broken at low levels
Mog once and done

If you leave an alt logged out to maximum rested length, itll last like 4 levels with quest turn ins

Nah, the game doesn’t start until end game for me

Honestly, the worst thing about heirlooms now is that they didn’t squish the ranks as well. With how quick leveling goes now, paying 5k to upgrade a single item’s cap from 45 to 50 feels… strangely wasteful, even considering the raw gold Shadowlands gives.

Several slots always BIS. Or if you find something better is garbage an hour later so…yeah sell it and move on.

Also the enchants are always there. Even when you mail to chars. Account bound too, horde or alliance. Same account its all good.

Pay for mark of the hidden satyr once on neck, use many times is nice. Gold saver there. Chest stat boost enchant, on down the line.

The gold savings snow balls here. At least for longer played players. Newer players can’t say. My looms have raised like 26 chars to at least 50. Looms put on real early…so that is 25 mark of the hidden satyrs I didn’t rebuy. Or the chest one. Legs as well. You made these with a 85 to 99 char
to pass to levelers.

Yeah, I don’t get what’s fun about spending hours to form raids or 30 minutes to an hour just to run a dungeon. You can have that noise.

But I do agree with him on heirlooms because the flipside of that convenience was it made crafted gear even more useless.

Heirlooms are strong at the early levels, filling many of the gear slots ; trinkets, neck etc… But, depending on your Chromie time, at about the time of lv 25+ they still have a edge but it narrows down with quest/dungeon/world drops.

Pitchforks, I say.

it takes like a day to get to 60 now lol

Punishing veteran players that want to play your game is not a good move and never has been.

:surfing_woman: :surfing_man:

I would say this was probably due to the large amounts of xp requirement nerfs to level through 1-60 zones than Heirlooms. Which in Wrath you only had the shoulders, chest and 1 ring (from the Ka’luk fishing comp). Even without heirlooms you could still out level certain zones. Even more so with the cata revamp.

Depends on dungeon hits…and the people in them.

One day on the monk it was classic dungeon day. ZF, BRF, some other classics…these were popping.

Some of us going yay! its not freehold. Some not so happy and drops. So the xp dungeon bit can be iffy.

I guess I try to enjoy leveling more so I don’t mind the changes as much.

That could be because new players and those without heirlooms have more empty slots. Not everybody has heirloom rings - I don’t. But many have heirloom trinkets, which are unavailable to players who quest until much later. They’re pretty rare in dungeons, too.

They took the bonuses and made them innate to the leveling speed. You are mad over a non-issue.

Very nice after I take week off a character. Which if I’m leveling a character it is probably the one I want to play so taking a week of is odd.

I have never understood this. We’re not in vanilla anymore. The gear from quests/bosses only drop for you what you can wear. Which it will probably be the stats good for your class. Only thinking you need to do is to open up your bag and equip it.

Its changed and it isn’t going back but I’m not going to pretend as if there anywhere nearly as beneficial as they once were.

Though I’ll admit the weapons are still nice. Especially Garrosh ones since they can be used from the lower levels
