Have you noticed that the evolutionary progression of everything in wow is from big and tall to much smaller? I believe that gnomes are the evolutionary end for alliance races and goblins for horde races.

that’s not true.
the males are 6’1 or 6’2, can’t remember exactly. slightly taller than male human.
the females are about the same height as human females.
