Fricking Morchie... how did u do it?

When Morchie splits into the various versions of herself, look for the one without a hat. That’s the real one.

As far as dealing with the clones, the most important thing to remember is that you will likely not have enough time traps for the second set (i.e. the first time she re-activates them). Save all your AoE control like Ursol’s etc for this set so you can control them until she puts out new traps. After that it’s just a matter of keeping track of where your clone is and pre-positioning to get them into the next trap.

Just did it last night. Granted it was a coordinated group with discord, but we also went in blind (can only have the fun of doing it inexperienced once). Someone did hear she had no hat as the clue, but no cheat aura or anything else.

We just placed markers down around the ring of the room like a clock and then 4 of us took the cardinal directions and watched those with whoever noticing calling out the closest 2 colors she is at. Worked fine for it.

The traps are just weird. Either she is programmed to release the adds once they are all trapped or we just were super good/bad at finish trapping them right as she went to release them effectively causing us to waste the traps. Still it wasn’t a hard fight.

The dungeon is going to be a nightmare on mythic+ though. Fortified and tyrannical need to go so badly. Blizzard can also stop with their hate crotch chubs against casters with the umpteen bajillion movement effects anytime now. Or let all casters cast while moving for slight increase in casting times until stopped/turreted.

Lust and blow all cds at the start, after first sand trap of my mob I killed myself so you’re not having to kite 2 adds around while waiting for traps to spawn. Since she spawns only 8 at a time.

Locks can easily kite their add while waiting traps to spawn.

Boss is easy with 4 people vs. 5.

thats actually not a good idea blowing all the cds at the begining. After the dragon does the frontal morchie stands in there without doing anything for like 10 seconds, thats the best time to dps. After each dragon.

once she moves and starts doing her mechanics just concentrate on the dance. Save lust for the last 30% of morchie’s HP or so after dragon does the frontal.

I think it depends on the group, we hammered her pretty hard and didnt skip a beat with the first dragon. So CDs and lust wasn’t wasted.

Rest of the fight wasn’t too bad because I took the L so our healer wouldn’t get spanked.

thats ok, the point is to blow the big hits right after dragon frontal and not during pools/friends mechanic.

I mean that is just common sense. The reason nearly all fights boil down to hero/lust at start is because that is often the calmest part of a fight and also players are typically starting with all their cooldowns up. Obviously exceptions exist but no sane group would expect to use hero/lust during a heavy movement/mechanic phase without some other compelling reason (like it’ll push to a transition or help them meet some kind of output check expected in tandem with the heavy movement/mechanics handling) which Morchie is definitely not.

actually that is very bad “common sense”… if you are in a fight where you are wiping you want to pop lust for the last part of the fight so you dont waste it in a wipe. Thats why you pop it for the last 30% or so (as i said earlier) depending on the boss’s HP pool, cause if you already made it to the last 1/3 or 1/4 of the fight then there is a chance you are going to actually kill it.

If you are in a fight that you know for sure you are not going to wipe then yeah do whatever the hell you want with your lust.

There are certainly times and fights where saving hero/lust for the end is perferred, but no you’re wrong because unless fights dictate otherwise, the general alignment of fresh cooldowns and a boss whose not doing anything yet allowing people to focus on their optimal openers free of any mechanics handling nets more output than risking holding it for later when players might be dead, not have cooldowns, lose uptime to mechanics, etc.

Again, mechanics are the deciding factor here. If a boss has some kind of soft/hard enrage effect on a phase dictated by reaching a health percentage, then hero/lust is probably better for it. If there is a period where a boss is taking sustained increased damage or has a transition or add phase that is meant to challenge the group until dead, it’s probably better used here. But if a boss is more or less a rinse and repeat of mechanics or is an output check, it’s best for the beginning.

Specifically for Morchie, it is very clearly best at the beginning.

I have found the ultimate / easiest strat. I’ve now one shotted this on 4 characters after smashing my head into a wall at first. Have 1-2 dps jump off the edge after the first clones. Completely trivializes the mechanic because with only 3 people up there are always more than enough traps, and I didn’t even have to think about the clones they just trapped themselves. I’m serious, it works

Wish they made the Morchie add split way bigger so it would be easier to see the real one. That or give us more time.

I think there is a WA that shows a blown up character model with a mouse over.

Why tf would I read this low-tier thread after an opening statement about how you’re pretending to roll with 9/9M 3k io but can’t do Morchie?? cope more

Is that supposed to be you trolling or are you just constipated? Rofl

Imsge does over 100k per second while you sre within its ring

This is not the easiest fight in the dungeon probably the bronze drake fight with the fast and slow speed. This is the hardest or 2nd hardest depending on how you feel about the final boss, and if you had 2 dps die at 80% i doubt you killed it.

It took about 6 minutes, but it is very much doable. There’s very little heal check as long as everyone traps their image appropriately and don’t face-tank the breath. It’s an easy fight, dude. The most I’ve seen a group pull that boss is twice in one run. There are far “harder” bosses in that dungeon.

So it’s MY FAULT when I point out the obvious?

lol ok. Carry on…

Pretty sure he moved on two months ago.

I mean I check the boards every day and YESTERDAY, I had no updates. NOW I’m checking … and it’s showing like 15+ updates to things I posted 3-4 weeks ago.

Something with these new board updates is wonky. But w/e … most of the threads I’ve posted in lately are people yelling at the sky. Never any facts, never any real discussion… just endless trains of “git gud” or “u suk.” It’s easy enough to move on… lol
