Fresh player's references are needed

With a lifelong game like WOW, contents and features are too much with fresh players like me. I know we have wowhead for references, but I think its main targets are veterans, not for newbs. Their guide for newbs be like teaching how to buy game, how to choose classes, choose races, I dont feel like I can learn anything from these guides.

I think we need guides for orientating new player what to do at each phase instead of introducing about features.

And last question, as a fresh player, is purchase dragonflight needed? Because I think it will take a long time lvling up till I can do dragonflight’s content.

No, it’s not needed. You can play all previous expansions and level up to 60 in them for the monthly subscription cost.

There is an ingame mentoring program for new players, a sticky at the top of this forum with new player friendly guilds and you can always ask questions in this new player forum which tends to be troll free.

Putting a post in on tour realm forum asking about newb friendly guilds may also help but with DragonFlight only about a week old, a great many players are currently exploring that island.
