Maybe TBC is where they should’ve stopped.

Maybe they should have made WotLK Classic…. Classic. People say that wrath was where we started down the retail road. Blizzard wanted to ensure that is correct. I don’t consider it “classic” at all with the changes they made.

Cata isn’t anything like retail. Heroics are hard and still ‘relevant’, comp sizes are still 10/25, open world farming and gold still have a semblance of meaning, Raid and PvP are the only end game pillars, professions aren’t squished yet, talent trees still exist, and only one Raid had LFR. I understand you don’t like Cataclysm and you’re allowed to not like it but it is nothing like Retail, otherwise I might actually enjoy Retail.

WoW Cata Classic isn’t yet a thing. You are speaking of it as though there will be no changes. I guarantee you there will, just as there were in Classic. And as in Classic, at least some of the change will be something you wouldn’t have wanted.

Sir the classic realms lost this in TBC. There will be no form of this in cata as the value of gold has been driven into the dirt and people buy it for pennies or get payouts from gfkps of those who do.

The “BEST” thing about CATA was starting from zero. they did some decent things to make the NEW player experience better than before.

Most people consider everything past Wrath to be where the retail era began, especially with Cata having so many dumb downed mechanics.

As far as i’m understanding it, TBC was great because it added a lotta balancing, but there was jank that WoTLK fixed.

Either way though… I wish I could play TBC again, I miss me pally being useful!

I’ve played on a lot of Cata servers in my time, I promise you the Cata experience is no different than Wotlk except the talent trees are smaller and there’s transmog.

The only thing that would even slightly entice me to play Cata is playing an Undead Ranged Survival Hunter. Otherwise yes.

The only thing that would keep me playing is if they released fresh vanilla alongside it, in which case I wouldn’t even play anyways.

I agree, fresh servers and I will re-sub to play it!! I want 1-60 to be a GRIND, I want to prepare my character to raid again!
