if all the classic forever realms die due to F R E S H nonsense it does effect me and everyone else who plays on those realms. but yeah. me and the rest of those people don’t exist and i’m just trolling for lols. that’s what you all think. no i’m explaining to you that you don’t exist in a vacuum and it effects everyone else who wants to play classic long term, including me.
Bring on classic servers I love that part of the game and thats the part im willing to pay for
I’m with you there! fresh for fresh progression, and let’s go!
I would love both TBC and classic fresh servers. But I feel with classic fresh servers it will eventually turn into the same mess has it is now.
Maybe some tweaks to fresh servers, like call them classic plus fresh servers maybe.
Some options are put a NPC in each raid that can give you all World buffs. This prevents raid logging and an active community.
Remove them all together possibly.
Changes so you can’t sell mage boosting, that the XP is nerfed. This prevents botters making thousands of gold and in turn selling it for real money.
Either ban GKP or ban gold buyers and sellers weekly, to prevent the amount of gold in classic wow.
People wanting fresh classic servers sound like they don’t like the World buff meta or the GKP meta or the buying of gold meta or the boosting meta.
So it wouldn’t hurt anyone who does love this because they already have their original realm for all these shenanigans.
This way classic wow can always be how we always wanted it to be, none of these things i mentioned was rampant in original vanilla.
Hell yea Harley, the fun for me is starting on a fresh server, making it your own and then competing this others who want to do the same
This is the first time I’ve ever logged in to comment on a thread; I’m an OCE player and have occasionally looked at the forums here or there throughout my Classic Journey.
I have watched and followed the traction of a BCC release since early release of Classic, I understand that for some; Classic was the journey in which they had to embark to get to their home.
When BCC was confirmed at the most recent Blizzconline, all I was watching and waiting for was an announcement for “FRESH”.
Classic, is my home. “F R E S H” is my home. Creating new characters and experiencing the journey of Classic, basking in my characters progression alongside existing and or new friends.
Please don’t forget the people who pushed for us to get to this point
it’s hilarious that i was called selfish when none of you are even bothering to think about the potential consequences for anyone but yourself. and despite showing that i have played more than just a few levels of classic, and saying i will play both vanilla classic and tbc classic, i was told that i don’t play (despite showing i do) and that i don’t care and am just trolling. which is one logical fallacy after another. but the fact i play retail more somehow means to you guys that i don’t play classic at all. at this point i play HEARTHSTONE more than i do retail but i don’t consider it my main game. but that doesn’t mean i am not splitting what free time i do have between different games, including classic.
You make such a huge point! We are only at this point because of all the people who pushed for YEARS to get us to that point!! The ones who loved fresh and kept on and kept on pushing.
Look at how much has come from that.
the only consequence so far is that I will not pay for a subscription until classic fresh is announced.
“I have one stock in Activision Blizzard therefore I should have the same say as someone with majority stock!”
I can’t wait for FRESH to be announced. I believe in you Blizzard. Don’t let me down!
F R E S H is your home because you stopped paying for retail and the private servers you played on for free were all shut down by blizzard so you were forced to reroll over and over again because the things were shut down.
Fresh is awesome. Everyone here is here because of it.
Lets go again!
Retail will always be the main focus you’re right, but I wouldn’t be surprised if from a cost standpoint classic servers are more way more profitable.
It’s like the difference between running a fine dining restaurant (retail) and a 1 person taco stand (classic). The restaurant makes way more but costs more to run, the taco stand is making less but it’s mostly profit because no overhead.
Once it’s rolled out and servers are stable it it doesn’t cost near as much as current content to run, they pretty much just let it do what it’s going to do (bots etc).
Hmm you do have a few good points here.
Maybe the easiest way to solve the world buffs thing would be to make it so once you zone in to something they all get wiped off?
Original realm for the shenanigans, Classic Fresh+ for the serious players?
The changes could be controversial but I’d take them over not having any fresh servers!
you guys have no concept of how one thing can effect something else or how those things can snowball out of control.
Absolutley, world buffs dropping when you aren’t in the world makes a lot of sense! drop them all enter dungeon. buff with your group - hit the zone in the face and let the adventure being
i know that. and the thing that bothers me as someone who plays classic is that it was ruined by bots and RMT. that will be an endless loop if new servers are released. if they don’t crack down on it (which they’ve shown they won’t) the bots won’t stay in the static version of classic. they’ll move to tbc and fresh. which means the classic forever version of classic will be fine but the “new” versions will just be a repeat of what happened with classic so far. and i don’t think that’s fair to anyone. if it were me i’d personally just pay a box cost and let them use that money to put people in who will do constant ban waves and keep things in check. the idea that there will constantly be people literally paying to win in all forms of classic is not a positive for me. i never once bought gold until i bought a token. but that doesn’t mean that no one else does. because obviously tons of people do. and no amount of F R E S H 395879347534985 times will prevent that from being the case every single time, if blizz doesn’t put the money or man power into stopping it.
Maybe fresh just isn’t for you
It really isn’t for everyone. Some people need a shorter level grind, epics raining from the sky and instant gratification from pushing a button to appear in the dungeon with a premade group.
At the other end of the scale we have what feels like a pure version of the game. You had to run everywhere, make friends with people to do content, enjoy the leveling process (or hate it) for days if not weeks with other humans you got to talk to.
Im choosing fresh every time.
Krusty Krab is unfair! Mr. Krabs is in there! Standing at the concession! Plotting his oppression!
