I’d be down for seasonal servers. It doesn’t need to have anything fancy but I do think they can milk this repeatedly by restarting realms and having seasons last like a year or so. If they do ever have something like this down the pipeline I hope they #somechanges, I don’t ever want to wait on a raid so warriors can get their world buffs again.

you’re also avoiding responding to my direct question i asked you a bit ago to throw a fit over something i said about what someone else said. so there’s that.
“the classic population as it is now is x amount. y amount of those will go to tbc. if you assume that the entire population of private servers aren’t the only potential new people (and they will all pay, which is no guarantee) then where are the other people coming from that weren’t here at classics launch to go through the initial play through that will somehow be interested in just running through fresh 9745934753485 times? you just said “You are also assuming that this is the only player base available for Classic. Fresh classic will be a huge money maker, because it means fresh (insert every other expansion here) in the long term. So… fresh classic, fresh tbc, fresh wotlk, fresh cata, fresh mop, fresh wod, fresh legion, fresh bfa, fresh shadowlands…
It can be an ongoing loop. Easy fresh money.

once you reach wrath then in comes random dungeon finder and the cash shop and all that goes on with it. then with cata you get lfr. then i think in WoD you get boosts to max level. even wrath classic because of lfd and the sparkle pony will make the average classic fan boil in rage. i understand what you’re saying but given the appeal of classic being pre-retail like stuff even wrath is pushing it. and while i personally would play the heck out of classic cata (as it’s my favorite expansion) or classic MoP (as i rage unsubbed for almost the entire expansion) most people who are interested in those QoL things will just play retail.

I played Classic and would play it again. There are a ton of people that WILL NOT be playing BC (me included) UNLESS Classic FRESH happens once more.
10K+ on a single private server, players who have unsubbed, players who couldn’t play the first time, players who prefer Classic over BC. Should I go on?
I really don’t get what your problem is. You are one of those “I don’t want something so no one should be able to have it” kind of people. An absolute ridiculously greedy, self-centered stance to have.
a private server andy calling someone who has paid non stop for almost 16 years (i took a break in MoP) greedy and self centered? 
the entire argument i’ve made like 347593475 times is that i have no issues assuming it wouldn’t screw people who want to stay on their classic forever realms by forcing them to pay to transfer all their characters over and over again. but yeah, i’m greedy. you’re literally trying to argue that no one else should get to play how they want but you. if you’re not against the box cost we aren’t in disagreement at all. if you ARE against it you don’t care about how it affects anyone else and you are the greedy one.

I think Fresh classic is a great idea, but I would take it even further and suggest fresh progressive servers maybe every 2-3 years or something like that. There’s a lot of potential here for Blizzard to make an ongoing thing. There’s a market for it, Blizz just has to put it on the menu now!

Because here I am requesting servers for players that want to play Classic FRESH. NO WHERE have I stated anything about “TheRe ShoULdn’T Be BuRNinG CruSaDE SerVERs” like you are with Classic FRESH.
That’s on you. I have been pushing for ALL server types.
You want to play on BC and because of that Classic FRESH shouldn’t be a thing. If that’s not self-centered I don’t know what is.

my main game is RETAIL and it will continue to exist forever as long as wow exists. classic for most people who sub is not their main game. you’re acting like i am some pro-tbc nut when i am nothing of the sort. i was a dwarf pally in actual vanilla. how happy do you think my memories of it actually are? lol. you complain when i bring up retail and then accuse me of being a rabid tbcer when we talk about that. so where exactly are you not trying to control how other people play, or talk, about other parts of the game vs F R E S H classic?

see? you literally are just jumping at anything to discredit me. i’ve played retail since the beginning. i’ve played classic since the beginning. i will play tbc classic from the beginning. i am not anti classic at all. that’s another straw man on your end. i play all the time. want me to show you the shaman i wanna do loremaster on that i have made? cuz he’s level 25 and i’ve been slowly working on him. i had a full roster of ally that i deleted too that i played from the beginning. but i’m already level 25 on my reroll.

Server Group 3 - (To Begin when Server Group 1 moved to Wrath and Group 2 moves to TBC)

this is the toon i am currently working on btw. notice it’s not just a level 10 toon that i made to troll the classic forums with. i had higher level ally characters that i deleted cuz the person i was playing with left for edit: shadowlands not bfa and the appeal of classic to me was horde stuff, not ally stuff. as i was a dwarf in vanilla. i have all my totem quests and stuff up to this point done. and that stupid water totem quest was NOT easy. thx.
I like this idea. Maybe after we get to WOTLK they’ll have the idea for rolling progressive servers. They can constantly have fresh restarts with 3 rolling expacs.

In any MMO, they try to provide “new” content and keep things from getting stagnant by doing new expansions, but rolling progression servers would be an even easier way for Blizzard to do that with WoW because of simply how many expansions they do have already! And people always do want to go back and play the content, so fresh progressive servers as an OPTION can’t really go wrong!

retail is the main focus. if the amount of bots and RMT that have existed in classic since the beginning haven’t made that obvious to you. retail makes the most money. essentially at some point the new potential “classic” servers will not make sense because they won’t make money and they won’t provide anything you cannot do in retail. cata and everything from that point on exist in retail right now. you can do all of those things for free with a retail sub without even buying an expansion except the shadowlands stuff because that requires a box cost. wrath classic is the last one that makes sense cuz it’s the most polished version of pre-cata. which is what most classic players seem to want. because cata is when the most changed and retail was really “born.”

On Topic though, Fresh servers are always going to be needed. Some people just loved the original game so much they played for 15+ years, its old news.
So it should be obvious that to keep those people paying a sub, offering the product they want to pay for. I’m one of those people. I want to play through it all from the start, fresh, with friends
