It’s super tempting to xfer off, but I don’t wanna gamble on a server that could end up slow/dead once the buzz wears off.
Anyone know a good choice for Horde characters?
Now if only the “you have an active auction , please fix this and try again” ERROR weren’t present on 17 of my 44 toons ><
I somehow got the auction error solved. I selected the paid version, went to the checkout. Cancelled at the check out, tried again, and it worked. YMMV

Increasing server capacity is a temporary fix at best. Like increasing the number of lanes on a freeway, the added capacity quickly fills and everything is right back where it started.
Opening free transfers as needed both relieves pressure on overpopulated servers and helps make the communities on the servers being transferred to more robust. Everybody wins.
Aside from that, there are plenty of options to transfer to that aren’t low population. Exploding at the seams is not the only population level that’s “alive”. Someone in this thread mentioned that Thrall can be transferred to for example, and that server is very active. You’ll have no trouble getting groups or finding guilds.

Every xpac and patch Stormrage was/is a mess so I was happy to get my toons off of there. I transferred there from Wyrmrest years ago, not knowing how huge it was. I just picked it because a friend was on there and it was in my time zone. So tired of the lag and queues. Thank you Blizzard, I appreciate it.
Real nice but it says I have auctions and I don’t so… I guess even that doesn’t work properly
There is a fix in this thread. Just pick the paid character transfer and go through it like you were gonna pay, cancel at checkout ,then go back and do free. It somehow clears the flag,worked for me and others.
Is it supposed to say “Your free character transfer is being processed” and give a wait time of a day to complete? With a yellow triangle next to the characters name?
yup, 1 day and 6 hour wait time.

I guess I’ll stay in stormrage, I have non existant auctions that won’t allow me to transfer

fix is in this thread. Fake doing a paid transfer, cancel on the payment page, then you can successfully transfer.
