Its letting you go to high pop and below just not full. I can even select Kijaden which is a great server
Umm… yeah I am NOT going to utilize a free transfer if you block me half-way through the process… how about making it so we can mass transfer all characters?

When I came back after not playing for 6 years my previously high pop realm was dead. Literal ghost town. And if I wanted to transfer all the characters I played regularly it would have cost me 100 bucks. To play an MMO with other people. I’d ask why server transfers are not free with a 3 month CD but it would be rhetorical asking Acti-blizz. I’d also ask you why you didn’t do this before shadowlands launched but again its very typical of your asinine company.

doesnt work like that this time. you can select ANY realm you want even high pops. Just not fulls. Hell I am even able to select Kiljaden and Bleeding Hollow
If its high pope or below you can go. Just not full which is a total of 7 servers.

Same issue for me as well. I only got 2 characters off, not even a main

The tip that Oxide provided about 40 posts back has been working for me.
If you get the character has auction error, then select paid transfer, when it brings up the shop instead of clicking now, click cancel then you select the free transfer option.
It’ll load for about 2 minutes, say error, click to X out and it’ll be in progress to transfer to the realm of your choice.
Tedious to do one at a time since I have a buttload of toons on Area 52 though.

I honestly don’t think this is gonna fix much, in the same way that it didn’t for Classic during launch.
People want to play in big servers because it gives them options.
Please start investing in adequate hardware. We can’t be having capacity issues in 2020.

It will solve a lot of things , the difference between a full server and a high server is a few thousand players iirc . Also makes people think about it more , since they don’t have to move to a low pop realm which is a huge downside to free transfer usually !
All OCE servers are High or Full, this doesn’t help Frostmourne at all.
I deleted everything INCLUDING the hearthstone and still cant transfer off.
Click on paid services, get to the checkout page, then change order, switch to free transfer, and see if that works. It seems to be a workaround people are using that works for some.
