Paid server transfers were a thing in 1.12, 25.00 was still steep for some people and if their name was ruined through internal reputation they would move off server, yes. Name changes hardly did anything, as you could tell the person that ninja looted 2 tier pieces, because having any number of set items your name became known. But even the lowlifes deserve a second chance somewhere else to rebuild their name.

Are free transfers over? I had the message at login screen for a while, but my friend told me Sunday he had transferred and now i canât find anything. Not going to start my 35 shaman all over againâŚ
They are over for now. If Blizzard is smart, theyâll come back for the overcrowded servers for another couple weeks at least.
These need to stay open longer until the population spreads out more.

Thatâs not true, people are apprehensive moving to what could possibly be âdead servers in a few monthsâ the longer transfers stay open, the more low/med pop servers will grow, as they grow, more people will be okay moving.
Free transfers have always only been available for a short amount of time. Players have to make a choice within that time limit or miss out.
Are you just rehashing whats always been done, what we are already aware of, or are you going to give any reason why itâs not a good idea to keep them open longer?

Hey Blizzard are u going to be offering Character Transfers for high populated areas to like all Servers. Im trying to transfer my lvl 47 rogue over to Kirtonos from Stalagg but it wont let me . Found out thats where all my friends are at but i cant switch . so are u going to be fixing or comming out with other transfers or what ?
