Why would they shut down transfers from a dead server? You donāt speak for everyone on Chaos Bolt when you say shut down the transfers. Should they leave the dead server open for the remaining people whoāll play there, then thatās between all of yāall, but they should not shut down any transfers. Let those of us who actually want an improvement to QOL transfer out.

Is the server transfer down or something? After typing transfer realm name nothing happens and the button is greyed out.
Subjective. CB was perfect imo. Felt like DD/Grobb but with more people than DD. 1-2 layers, recognizable names, healthy economy.
Paid transfers OFF should have existed. Free transfers TO (from RP realms) should have existed.

Yeah Ive been having the same issue.
Definitely second this. The best thing would have been to not close CB but to allow free transfers TO the low pop realmsāthatāll also fix the congestion-induced lag and stability issues for the bigger servers Blizz, ofc

But!
If youāre all in on killing CB, you have to give us more than one option to transfer to. Let the recent transfers to CS also still have the option to transfer out (or donāt, as boo to them anyway).
This would prevent another 5k people from joining a realm that already has stability issues. This would allow for people that have a different faction character on CS to not be forced to delete one of them. This would prevent the complaining (from myself included) about not wanting to join some dumb megaserver.
This would make people happy. Letās make people happy again, Blizz!
You all have done such an amazing job with SOD, seriously. Itās been such a treat to play. That there was a decision this bad was so surprising and out of left fieldā¦ but if thereās one thing youāve also showed during the season, itās that you guys fix your mistakes. And fast.
I really look forward to that happening again.

they locked it due to a bug where peoples characters were locked, some characters have reported being unlocked, assuming they havent all gone home i would expect transfers to be reopened late tonight
I havenāt been able to play all day because I chose to jump the wagon. I transferred all of my max level characters over at once. Itās said ālogin is currently restrictedā for around 10 hours now. 
I know its kind of my bad but I didnāt expect a bug like this to take so long to be fixed.
have you checked recently, ive had guildies who did it right away ahve their characters just become unlocked
Iāve been checking all day, including 30 seconds ago, and all of them are locked still.
Something just hit me.
Monday is April 1st.
If this is one giant April Foolās Day joke, I would LOL.
Okay, now send Lava Lash to Wild Growth! Our population is less than Chaos Bolt and the jump in our population is from the SOD-core fandom. End it, save us.

not april 1st yet itd be breaking the rules(but i too would like to believe that my server being killed was a practical joke)
Some of the best pranks have a long wind-up before the pitch.
It did work after the character unlocked. Both Horde/Ally on Crusader.
So what do we do if we have horde on Chaos Bolt and alliance on Crusader Strike? Can you either allow both factions on the same server or open the transfers up to more than just Crusader Strike? Seems like an easy solutionā¦

Iām unable to use the free transfer from the shop, how did you get the transfer to work? When I type a new realm to transfer to nothing happensā¦
