All those wanting to transfer better have backup names!
Well what about people who have reserved names on the low-populated server (Eg. Level 1 accounts) and clearly do not have any intention of playing on them?
Iâd say a fair amount of people wouldnât want to lose their reserved name if they transfer to a low-populated server.
The difference is that in the past, the game was out for a year when new realms opened, not 1 week. And no, Iâm not in queue. Iâve yet to ever see a queue on Windseeker. I already did reroll from Westfall.
âYou mean people like you?â
I was against the transfers, seeing them as pointless at this time. So no, not like me.
you either wait in queue for 4 hours or you select a new name. Whoâs to say what their âintentionâ is.
A few days ago people were saying they were quitting because they couldnât get into the game to even play and now you are QQ about your name ? Why should you get priority over a name when you are being given an option to transfer or not.
Then you canât have that name. Even if the character has not even been started if the name is already taken you canât have it. Iâm pretty sure a name like yours will be taken 99% of the time.
Of course people will not want to lose their names⌠that people wonât transfer over. But some people doesnât care as long as their progress is brought over to a queue-less server.
about time
i mean, i donât need it, but my poor friends too stubborn to leave herod will finally have the chance
If theyâre unique names, why would you worry that other players have them too?
Incredible. I bash blizzard a lot but this deserves praise.
Time is irrelevant, weâre talking about an immediate issue that is now going to be lessened. Youâre just trying to stir the pot. If you really wanted to bring into concern the aspect of time relevancy, than put it this way. Back then, they needed to create a solution for a problem. The problem before were dead servers, not necessarily queues, the only time you ever ran into queues were during releases of new content or during holiday periods. It takes time to develop a tool that hadnât existed yet. Blizzard has perfected that system, thatâs why itâs so much faster compared to a year. M8, I can go all day. Youâre wrong in every aspect.
Youâre literally whining on the forums⌠Just play the game my man.
Well would you look at that, Blizzard is actually doing a good job with damage control on their less than stellar release. I think 1 week after release is a pretty quick response time for a big company, so keep up the good work.
I would be surprised if they opened additional new realms while there are still lower pop realms that need to be filled up for long-term stability.
I am worried they are going to mess this up, Blizzard needs to be extremely careful doing this.
Good. Good. Time to finally move my friends off Skeram!
Time is entirely relevant. When the realms have only been out a week, you can just reroll. In the past, there were full realms a year into launch, after people were already 60 and trying to raid, so it was natural to offer transfers rather than telling everyone to reroll to new realms. These are not the same situation at all. Go ahead and ramble all day if you like, it doesnât change the facts. Blizzard caved to forum whiners, which is a very bad precedence.
But I guess itâll work out in the end, because youâll be transferring without your names while those of us that done rerolled got our names. Next people will start whining that they arenât getting to keep their names. Grab your popcorn for that one.
only the âFULLâ realms still having big queâs should be allowed transfers. and they need to have hard cut offs so that the servers they are letting them transfer to no longer become able to select them during the transfer process if so many people transfer into them. Thatâs the only way youâre going to balance this problem.
Otherwise, everyone from Herod will just go to the next coolest âserver nameâ
What low population realms are there ? Medium was the lowest I saw yesterday unless you are talking 3 am
