Thank you for all the reports about the low framerate issue related to pet auto-cast abilities in Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary. We’ve identified the issue and we’re preparing a fix for it, which will require an update to the WoW client.
New client builds are a bit trickier to deploy, and once deployed, the fix will take effect only after you next restart the game. Until then, the following workarounds may provide some relief:
-
The issue will happen less frequently if you do not macro pet abilities or /petattack into frequently-cast spells.
-
If the low framerate occurs, you should be able to restore your FPS by toggling auto-cast off and then on again for your pet spells.
-
If issues persist, a /reload or relog should get you back into a good state.
We’ll get the new client out as quickly as we can. Thank you again!
What was it you said to me earlier? “No, I don’t think I am and no, I don’t think I will… Been doing game development for over a decade”. Hmm…well, better luck next time Mr. Game Dev. As I said, “you’re just wrong and you’re talking to the wrong person when it comes to troubleshooting”. Try not being so egotistical and just accept there are people out there (myself included) who actually work in IT and know what we are talking about. Obviously you didn’t even try to troubleshoot it - “I did, didn’t see any issues.” . Terrible skills…but hey, you still want that DXDIAG report?
